"A group of eight guys headed to Cape Breton for 4 nights and five days at Baddeck and luckily picked the best possible place to stay that we could. "The property had an amazing view. It had both indoor and outdoor furniture to make it relaxing. The only problem was how hot it was inside with no air conditioning. The big windows allow for a great view but also let in full sun during the whole day. Open windows and fans helped but only in the evenings. and no air conditioning"

"Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

"The house was quite nice overall. A little disappointing that the woodstove didn't work, especially as the weather was cool and wet. The water is quite soft, but tastes good; and the water heater works fine. We spent a chilly first night as the baseboard heaters were set to 10C (50F), and the control buttons are really tiny and hard to notice. A heads up from the owner would have been helpful. It was plenty warm once I found the controls. The setting is beautiful, and the stairs down to the lake...
