Private boat dock with built in sun shelf. Completely furnished except your personal belongings. Less than a mile from Moor's Marina, boat ramp, restaurant, and playground for kids. Location may be the best on the Lake as well, just across from popular local spots-"the sands" and "the rock quarry". Very gentle slope to the water. Walk out downstairs and stroll to the dock to fish, watch boats go by or swim. New grill-gas for your cookouts! Or we have several favorite restaurants just a few minutes away. NEW FOR 2021 - PUFFY MATTRESSES FOR KING AND QUEEN BED, NEW PILLOWS, LINENS, TOWELS and CONCRETE WALKWAYS! Family reunion
The property is outstanding for our purpose. The house is always clean and well stocked with necessary items. Any communication with owner is always answered promptly. Had issues with washer but the problem was taken care of promptly and to our satisfaction.

Birthday lake trip
We had a wonderful time at Lakinā€™ Memories for my husbandā€™s 30th birthday. Very clean and spacious house. We spent the majority of time there outside on the decks. Having an on-site boat dock was so helpful and convenient for us. Very friendly owner, he came by and introduced himself in person and wished my husband a happy birthday.

We have stayed here for 5 years or more and have always had a wonderful time. This is the most well supplied and comfortable VRBO that we have stayed in. We stay here for a family reunion and the other houses stayed in are envious of the customer service that we receive. Exceptional host!!!

Nice, clean, and comfy!
We had a great time at Larkin Memories house. The house was very neat and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, and small appliances you would need. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Enjoyed our mornings and evenings out on the deck. The house is nicely located: not far from town, and on the lake not far from the marinas. We love Kentucky lake!

Beautiful home
Beautiful home. Close to the marina. Nice covered porch with lake view and access. Owners easy to work with. Depending on the time of year the lake level changes. The home and area was beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed our time with family but missed the high water level time. Very spacious Great views from most rooms.

Love Lakin Memories
The only reason I don't stay at Lakin Memories when I visit Kentucky Lake is because its already booked. This place is more popular then fleas on a dog. The home is fantastic , the host Ben and his wife have become like family. Oh did I mention the dock for your boat. I want to live in this home. The property Manager Michelle is super helpfull. We will be back!

The house and surrounding views were awesome. Property owners were pleasurable
We stayed for a fishing tournament. Everything was wonderful except boat parking. Maximum number of boats is 3... If you have a small group that is fishing just keep that in mind. We had 5 boats lined up and due to the parking we had to eliminate some guests. A definite 9 out of 10. And would stay again guaranteed. Owner was very courteous and willing to take care of our every need and house was beautiful,

Captured our attention!
From beginning to end ~ Lakin' Memories was the place to be! So quiet a neighborhood @ all hours. Michelle got us started and was always available. Both decks with amazing Bluetooth became our hangout and the taste of smores called us to the firepit in the evenings. 12 in our party, plenty of space all around! Swam often from dock and kayaked in cove~ fun stuff! Ben was quick to respond, super host. Overall a 5 star experience! You won't be disappointed.

Great vacation!
We enjoyed our vacation and would definitely stay at this home again. It was clean and comfortable. It was a good setup for our two family units. Our son and daughter-in-law and granddaughters utilized the downstairs with the three bedrooms and a bathroom and we used the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces, both upstairs and downstairs, for quiet morning coffee or playing with our granddaughters. The owner was responsive and helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We enjoyed the wine and cheese welcome gift too! Since we were near Moorā€™s and the marina, we ate at Ralphā€™s which was good and enjoyed ice cream at the marina almost every day when we were out boating. We definitely recommend Larkinā€™ Memories!

Nice place to stay on the lake
We had 3 families staying here for a little over a week. 6 adults, 2 toddlers, and an infant. The layout worked nicely for us all. The home was beautifully decorated and the beds were all very comfortable. The owners thought of everything that would be needed. There were plenty of dishes, silver, cups, pots and pans. We were pleasantly surprised to find toddler plates and utensils as well. We rented a pontoon and were able to make use of the dock for easy loading of supplies which was nice because off all the gear you need with kids. My daughter hid a painted rock on the dock so we hope someone finds it and shares it on the Facebook page ā€œFort Wayne Rocksā€

Fantastic home perfect for a lake vacation
We have rented many VRBO properties over the years, and Lakinā€™ Memories was truly one of the best. Kentucky Lake is a calm place to boat and safely do water sports, and this property was the perfect place to come home to. It was clean, comfortable, and so well-stocked! This place had it allā€”extra comfy blankets, cooking spices, magazines, movies, books, games, pantry staples! We appreciated the welcome gift basket too! The layout worked well for two families. We all felt like we had enough space. On a vacation like this, the outside of the home is important as well. The dock was perfect for our boat and two wave runners. We easily parked two trailers and three vehicles in the paved driveway/next to the driveway on the gravel. We rented a different property in the area last year and had some issues with the steep parking for our trailers. In addition, the property is conveniently located close to Moorā€™s Marina, the sand beach, and the quarry. Have I mentioned the decks? Beautiful and so welcoming! We spent a lot of our down time outside enjoying the hammock, patio furniture, and built-in Bluetooth speakers. Both Michelle, the property manager, and Ben, the owner, were so kind and communicated promptly to answer any questions we had. Lakinā€™ Memories lives up to its nameā€”great family memories were made!

"Lakin' Memories" is true to its name...
One of the most memorable vacations we have been on! The house is beautifully decorated, very clean and homey feeling, and super spacious. Even with 8 kids we had plenty of room! The location couldn't have been better either--very close to Moors Marina (which made it easy to rent/launch boats, jet skis, etc--literally a 2 minute ride on the water and less than 5 minutes driving); the beach ("the Sands") was just across the way and very well kept; and the "Rock Quarry" was quite a popular place with our kids--they loved jumping off the cliff and swinging on the rope! We love that the home is nestled back in a little cove--very peaceful and calm--perfect for swimming; and the fishing in the cove was great--caught lots of large blue gill and catfish using red worms! On those days you want to explore, there is lots close by to do. Patti's Settlement has shopping and dining, there's putt putting and animal viewing at Maggie's Jungle Golf and Jungle Run; horseback riding nearby, and we enjoyed checking out the dam. Hoping to hit the old-fashioned drive-in next visit. The countryside around there is beautiful so don't be afraid to venture off the beaten path. Although we cooked most of our own meals (the kitchen is well furnished for all your needs and easy to entertain in--love the open floor plan), we did enjoy and highly recommend Majestic's pizza, Belew's milkshakes, and Parcell's Bakery (also a Deli & Gift Shop). Ralph's down at Moors Marina is an easy order, take and go; or dine-in and enjoy their genuinely friendly hospitality and yummy food. The Housman family has a wonderful thing going here, and we can't wait to return and continue our "Lakin' Memories"! Thank you so much for a wonderful week!

Book this Lovely Lakeside Retreat!
We loved this property and the personal touches the hosts provide for their guests. The house was very comfortable, clean and cozy. The welcome gift was amazing and touching (no spoilers, but you'll love it, too!). We especially liked just chilling out on the decks watching the fireflies, owls, birds and deer in the back yard. My family was the original owner of Moors Resort and I have stayed in numerous properties in that area over the years. I must say this one was the most comfortable by far. Beds, pillows, shower heads, firm couches, well-stocked kitchen, clean porches, lighting, toiletries...everything was top notch. Highly recommend this property!
