This charming Civil War era house first floor apartment is located in historic downtown Gettysburg. The apartment has been restored, with two bedrooms (queen beds), so the house can sleep 4 .The bathroom has a tub with shower. In addition there is a fully fitted kitchen, dining room, reading room, and parlor. There is central a/c throughout. At the rear of the house is a secluded garden and parking.
The apartment is ideal for 4 people You can walk to most of the shops and restaurants. The National Military Park (Battlefield) is two minutes walk away. Paranormal investigators might enjoy their experience here as well!

Perfect stay!
We spent 4 nights at this property and it was perfect. The place is spacious and after a long day out and about it is great to have a place to stretch out and not be in a hotel room. Very easy to walk to many areas in Gettysburg and a short drive to other areas. We would stay here again for sure!

The old time feel of the house is perfect for Gettysburg! The location is right in town. Walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. I will definitely book this location again on my next trip to Gettysburg!

Great Centrally Located Home
We had a great experience renting from Tessa. The home was historic, charming, and clean. We were able to have additional family rent out the upstairs unit so we essentially had the whole home to ourselves. The house was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful time walking around exploring the area. We’d love to book again and highly recommend this rental.

My cousin came to visit from Oakland, Calif. We decided to visit Gettysburg, as it had been quite a while since he, and we had been to the battlefield and war memorial. A great visit-- the house was extremely convenient, immaculate, and nicely appointed. Everything was exactly as represented.

The property was spacious and well appointed. It was also in a great location in Gettysburg - near to the battleground and the downtown area. Should I ever be in the area again, I will definitely rent this home. The only thing I would say to improve it is to give a history of the house - when it was built, who built it, how many lived there, etc. It was of such historical significance, I wanted to know more about it.

Fantastic spot close to historic center
Great spot with all the amenities we could ask for. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived, kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. A five minute walk brought us to a great selection of restaurants and several historical markers. What more could you ask for! I was a bit worried as some other reviews made it sound like there was a lot of traffic noise. We really didn't notice that. You hear some traffic during the day but it really quieted down at night. This was a midway stop on our trip so we appreciated the chance to wash clothes and put our feet up. The Battlefield visitor center is a 2 minute drive away too! It was a treat to learn the history during the day and then stay in this historical house at night. If those walls could only talk!!

Lovely Home!!
My husband and I took our 2 teenage kids to Gettysburg during Spring break this year. What a treat!! The town and history is amazing but, the highlight of our stay was coming home after long days of site seeing to the Stahle House. Super clean! And so warm and inviting :) It really felt like home :) And so much there of the original structure and architecture! It is beautiful. If you're looking for private accommodations with true historical look and feel, this is the place. And Tessa was great! She was on top of everything and quickly responded to all communications and eager to accommodate at any moment. We are already planning our next trip to Gettysburg to hit the spots we missed this time and plan to stay here again. We absolutely loved it!! Highly recommend :)

We had a wonderful time in Gettysburg & this property was perfect for our needs. You can walk to everything from here. The house was very clean & as pictured on-line. Plenty of room for 2 couples or a small family. Only 2 things we felt could have been better - 1 the privacy if the back bedroom. Even with the curtains drawn you could see in & out. 2 - the TV. Though it showed many channels, those available were few & you had no idea which ones they were. A list of the 4 or 5 channels available would be helpful & timesaving. For future guests - don't forget to bring paper products! All in all it's a great place & we would definitely rent again!

It was exciting to stay at the Stahle house! We enjoyed the beauty of the home and it was immaculately clean. We had no issues or surprises. The only thing is that the listing showed there was a pull out bed and sleeps 6, which ended up only being 2 beds and slept 4. Some of our family had to stay elsewhere, but it was big enough to enjoy a family dinner together. We really enjoyed our time in the home Thank you so much!
