We never interacted with anyone, so if we had any questions, it might have been difficult. The area around the hotel seemed commercial, but we were just there for an overnight stay for nearby visit. "I stayed here for Ironman Kalmar and cannot recommend it enough. I changed my travel plans last minute to arrive a day early and stay in a different local hotel. I asked if early check-in would be possible as I had to vacate the first place by 11am, and the receptionist was so friendly and helpful in putting a note on my reservation, and then letting me know the next morning I could check in before 11 because a room was ready. The breakfast was phenomenal. They opened up at 4am on race morning and had everything I thought I needed plus more. (Fruit smoothie, ginger juice shot with chili, pancakes with real maple syrup, so many different breads, meats, cheese, fruit, salads etc. in addition to your typical breakfast.) Finally, checkout the day after the race was delayed 2 hours, which I've never experienced at any other race, but which would've been much appreciated had I not opted to stay an extra day (specifically to avoid having to pack up and be out by 10:30am)."
