"The hotel was in a very central location, with easy access to the airport and only a few minutes away from Alexanderplatz station. East walk to museum island too. I was upgraded to a room with a view of the Berlin TV tower which was nice (sadly couldn’t see anything as it was very foggy but that is not the hotel’s fault). Staff were all friendly. The area late at night is not the best, with lots of rough sleepers so something to be aware of. I didn’t try the breakfast as, other than boiled...

"If you have *any* reason whatsoever to be in Berlin, Amaya Motel is perfect for you. The staff are incredibly friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the location cannot be beat. "Hotel had overbooked my reservation, and no reception was able to solve their mistake. Telephone service stopped being manned before announced latest checkin. Don't consider this place as a last minute option. No contact was initiated despite double booking, to sort out their mistake with me."

"I must say, one man that worked at the bar and restaraunt was very kind. Informative. The rest of the staff was young adults. Not very good at what they were doing. Management is awful. There is no one there at any time of day, if one needs anything. It was a struggle (and a day wait) to get another pillow and towel. The pillows are empty pillow cases. "This so-called Hotel was shut, locked, when we arrived in the evening of our booking. The “Emergency” telephone, advertised in large font outside the entrance, was nothing but an automated answer phone. No use at all. After one hour we gave up and set off in search of an alternative. We have still (2 days later) received no apology and no reply to e-mails. In short, this place is a disgrace."

"Wir haben die Übernachtung nicht wahrnehmen können, da es keinerlei Möglichkeit gab früher an einen Schlüssel zu kommen oder Gepäck abzustellen.Von der Veranstaltung her(DFB Pokal Finale) wäre es sehr schwierig geworden nochmal das Hotel anzufahren. Kein bisschen Entgegenkommen. Wir mussten dann privat bei Bekannten auf dem Fußboden schlafen"

"For the price we paid for the room we were very impreseed. The only two issues I had, were that there was no shower gel both days we stayed and the room was very very warm.. other than that it was great, I would definitely stay again!"
