"The property is sited on a farm. It is well away from an unsealed road (no traffic noise) and from the farm house. I think I may have heard a chain saw for a short while. In case you are worried there are no farmyard 'smells'. Check in and instructions on how to find the property were great. The manager replied promptly to my questions. "Did a quick overnight on our way to Christchurch from Queenstown. Space was perfect! Had everything we needed, beautiful gardens and easily accessible. So much nicer than a hotel and very comfortable. Left us breakfast in the fridge, that was greatly appreciated after eating out for so many days.Fabulous hosts and highly recommend!"

Location Convenient for Blue Penguin Viewing

"We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment style room with full kitchen, dining area and bath on the third floor. We were welcomed and had a nice chat while checking in. Room was clean and comfortable and appreciated the full kitchen for in room dining. While the hotel is located on a busy street we did not notice any major noise to speak of. While not in the downtown business district the hotel is super convenient to walk through the park to Marine Parade for possible blue penguin sitings."
