20th century farmhouse in the Walburg community

Step back in time and enjoy the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of our three bedroom and 1 1/2 bathroom home. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of the porches while relaxing and listening to the tranquil sounds of leaves rustling in the breeze and cows mooing in the distance. Watch the playful squirrels, variety of birds, occasional deer and other wildlife on the surrounding 1 acre lawn. Your dog(s) will enjoy running around the fenced in yard. Star gazers will enjoy seeing the stars at night.

Enjoy making meals in the fully stocked kitchen or head over to Dale's Essenhaus or the Walburg German Restaurant - both within walking distance of the house. Weekends bring live music and a great family atmosphere for all ages to dance from April through October at both locations in their popular biergarten.

The beautiful Georgetown square is a quick 10 minute drive. Be sure to visit the shops, restaurants, and wineries while there.

After reading reviews about hearing the bar across the street, I was nervous that we would not be getting the quiet weekend away that I had planned, but the music was actually great! We ended up sitting on the porch all three nights we were there enjoying the music and dancing on the porch. Def one of my favorite places that we have ever stayed.

Another great stay
We have stayed at this property before and once again everything was what we expected. A great place to stay away from the hubbub of Austin. We did find that the cable modem would drop the internet connection on a fairly regular basis but other than that, everything was perfect.

Family reunion
We enjoyed the property and the location was perfect. It was right across the road from Dales and the Walburg Community Center and just within walking distance of the Mercantile. The property owner was extremely helpful when we were in need of yard tools (rake, hoe, shovel). Will certainly stay there again if needing a place to stay on our next trip to Walburg.

Love this house!
This was our second time staying at this lovely, historic home. The location cannot be beaten. Sitting on the front porch listening to live music and sipping a glass of wine is my idea of a getaway. The house is so cozy and had everything we needed. The host is wonderful, responsive and available if needed. We will stay here each time we visit the area.

Peaceful cozy home
We've stayed here a few times and each time we love it! Even our kiddos do. The front porch is such a treat every morning to enjoy sunrise or sunset. We had a Cardinal bird visit us this last time each day. It's a great location to get away. Sharon's home has everything we need as always. Will definitely book again.

Weekend in Georgetown
Nice house for a weekend in Georgetown. We were there to visit family. The property is directly across the street from a restaurant that has a live band on the weekends until 10pm. You can hear the noise in the house, but after 10, all is quiet. Beds are very comfortable, overall will be back again.

The farm house was a perfect location for us and it turned out to be comfortable, convenient and secure. The kids and dog enjoyed the large yard. I appreciated the gorgeous bathroom, comfy livingroom, convenient laundry and well stocked kitchen. Our son took the front bedroom with books and chess board. Our daughter loved the other front room with big antique vanity and chaise lounge. The antiques were really cool touch throughout the home. Sharon was so friendly and helpful. We’d love to come again!

Charming Farmhouse!
We had the best time at this charming farmhouse. All 6 of us loved how it was carefully restored from the woodwork, shiplap and trims, to the decorations and great antique furniture. The beds were comfortable, we enjoyed visiting in the large room and doing crafts around the dining room table. It was spotless and easy to care for. Check in and out was easy. There was ample parking. The host was on property if we needed anything but everything was great. We truly loved this farmhouse and will stay again in the future. Thank you!

The owners were lovely. And, Texas just had gone through some terrible weather. So, I hate to leave a negative review. But, there were some significant issue's. First and foremost, there was a rodent problem. Mice were abundant in the house. We spent the majority of the time dealing with the problem (not the most relaxing). The smoke alarm continued to go off in the middle of the night (despite no smoke), perhaps another issue stemming from the infestation. And, the Wi-Fi was inadequate. It was a nice area to explore. But, the house did not live up to expectations.
