Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Villa Consolacion, but there were a few issues.
Firstly, this property advertises a 'free shuttle' from Del Carmen airport - this is not true. The shuttle is a public van service which costs P 300/person and was only communicated to me after I booked. Secondly, the room I stayed in had a bathroom window which would not close. This was a safety issue, but also let in mosquitos every day and night. Thirdly, the resort was in the midst of building some sort of outdoor structure (maybe a bar?) and every day at 6:00am-6:00pm you would hear hammers and a saw running. This didn't bother me so much because, well, this is the Philippines, and you hear noise no matter where you stay.
The staff were very friendly and there is laundry on-site, as well as a spa. Also, a mini-store across the street which was very convenient. I would consider staying here again, as it was affordable and very close to the beach, but would select a different room.
