Amenities:
The home is well equipped with coffee, tea, sugar, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and cleaning supplies.
Wi-Fi:
Wi-Fi is available for your stay, phone reception is limited with Telstra reception is the only network that gets service but it is intermittent.
Guest Access:
The property is only accessible via an unsealed road & NOT suitable for cars with low ground clearance or standard sedan. Guests will have access to the garden surrounding the property & river frontage, not the paddocks of the property. Please DO NOT enter the old sheds next to the house.
The Neighborhood:
Tarana is a village approx 10kms from the house which has a Pub with a Bistro & a small General Store. The home is between Oberon & Bathurst which provides a great opportunity to explore both spectacular areas, be it the Jenolan Caves, Mayfield Gardens or just relax by the Fish River.
Getting Around:
Car - guests must ensure they have a suitable car to access the property (not a sedan or a vehicle with low ground clearance) - it can be hard for small and low cars especially in wet weather. Please be aware of this when booking.
Other Things to Note:
- The property has intermittent phone reception from Telstra, most other networks DO NOT WORK! Although, there is Wi-Fi available. It is a remote location
- The house is in a remote location with fauna present, we ask you to keep all food in the fridge or in sealed containers to avoid attracting rodents or other animals. We do our best controlling pests & appreciate guests keeping food in sealed containers, the fridge or in the garbage bins provided.
- The homestead is part of a larger working farm & as such please leave gates as you found them - CLOSE GATES as you enter & leave the farm. Please do not go near the cattle or sheep. If you are going down near the river please keep an eye on children, as the river when flowing, is very quick. You are welcome to fish down by the river, bring your rod!
- Fire - Please note that in fire danger season (October 1st - March 31st) that firepits are not allowed to be used.
Interaction with Guests:
As this is a working farm, from time to time the owners will be seen checking livestock in the surrounding paddocks.
