"I have been going to the Saint Georges Hotel for years; and it has always been reasonably priced, well-located, and consistently dependable. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a nice coffee shop and breakfast room off the lobby, and a cozy lobby lounge, with drinks available. I highly recommend the Sant Georges!"

"Wonderful, friendly hotel. Not in centre but not far with the direct, frequent no.4 tram. Location also has good vibe, museums, and vibrant life. Hotel rooms have good aircon, free minibar and a Freitag bag to borrow. Hotel has pool table, table tennis, bike facility, car offer, sauna, gym, etc. Breakfast is very very good, but expensive. "

"I love the location. The hotel is ok. We booked 2 days. We arrived on the 31st and left on the 2nd of Jan. New Years eve the hotel has a private party and a private dinner for people who made reservations. At night around 11pm I went outside and took pictures because the view is amazing. As I go back inside, I'm not sure if thats a security guard, I didn't ask. He stopped and interrogated me for entering the hotel saying theres a private party going on and it's for guests only. "My room was on the very top floor and was very clean. I stayed one night but slept well as the bed was comfortable and I was able to turn up the heat on the radiator to make the room temp just right. I am happy that I found a hotel for such a great price that was near the sights that I wanted to see. The Wifi was excellent. I thought that the TV did not get a signal at first but if you change the channels you will find many stations to watch. "

"Excellent hotel, within walking distance to center and the Rhine. Tram stop 2 mins walk from hotel if you don't want to stretch your legs. Rooms good with a kitchen and appliances. I only used kettle and fridge. Staff very nice. Would recommend."

"We stayed for 3 nights in December, the breakfast was good and never busy, staff checking us in wet friendly and polite and spoke multiple languages. The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking. "This was a great experience. I really liked the downtown area, how easy check-in was, the bed, and my bathroom. Two things I missed were a worktable (the tiny kitchen table was too small) and a bed stand. "

Good value for money

"Good location near the train station and with three different tram lines easily accessible. The room was clean and modern, nice shower, toilet in the “cupboard” a bit claustrophobic. Room is quite small, not made for a lot of luggage. The hotel is perfect for a short stay for a night before heading to the train station or the airport (airport bus leaves from just outside the train station)."

"Loved this stay. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff was very informative about restaurant and helpful in making reservations. Bonus, the tram runs right by the hotel and in addition to flavored water in the lobby there was a small selection of Haribo gummies, so yummy!"
