Casa Mihrab is a beautiful, lovingly restored four storey town house situated less than 3 minutes from the centre of the village with amazing views of the castle, mountains, Gibraltar and Africa. It is an attractively furnished home with Wifi and satellite TV ( English and Spanish) to keep connected if you wish, while providing a real escape and flavour of Spain with original beams, open fire, white washed walls, exposed stone and terracotta floors. The top floor, secluded south facing terrace is ideal for sunbathing and alfresco dining, and the smaller covered terrace is perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The open plan kitchen/ diner is well equipped for the keen cook and there is a BBQ, but a variety restaurants, cafes and tapas bars are all available an easy walk away to ensure a leisurely stay. Lots of fresh local produce available including fantastic butcher and two excellent Deli’s. The living room is spacious with fully recessing doors opening to the Terrace on the top floor with all the views. The bedrooms are on the ground and lower ground floors facing the rear of the property each with Juliet balcony and either ensuite or bathroom next door. Organic toiletries provided. Quality Egyptian linens afford an extra degree of comfort to our guests.Ideal spacious accommodation for a couple or up to 4 people. Free Parking is available immediately outside the house or within a few minutes walk.

Beautiful Gaucin
We enjoyed our stay in this unique house. Gaucin is a beautiful, friendly and peaceful village. The views over the valley are stunning. The kitchen has a lot of the basics many other properties do not have - spices, oils, teas, tinfoil, etc., which we appreciated. Be prepared for several flights of stairs - good exercise after eating out in the lovely restaurants! We would definitely visit again.

As good as we remembered
We had fond memories of our previous stay in this lovely house a few years ago and I'm glad to say our return visit in August was just as enjoyable. The house is perfectly located on the lower part of the village for an easy stroll to the shops, restaurants and bars and car parking is easier than for houses located further into the village. The house is spotlessly clean and furnished with everything you need for your comfort. Throw in the wonderful view over the campo from the terrace and you've got one helluva holiday experience.

Lovely house with great views
Well presented and well-equipped. The (soft) double bed and balcony views from the top floor were standouts in this accommodation. This property extends to 4 levels so a lot of steps involved. Great week, would come back again. Gaucin is a great destination for a relaxing holiday.

Casa Mihrab is an absolute gem in an idyllic location.
Casa Mihrab has everything you need for the perfect relaxing holiday. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and the basement bedroom had the most calming spa like feel, a lovely place to rest after a hot day. The icing on the cake for us was the upstairs living area looking out to the Village and Mountains. I curled up on the comfy sofa looking out at the breathtaking scenery listening to Flamenco, bliss! A perfect delightful village house.

Lovely property with wonderful views
The property was clean and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. The house is nicely decorated and the views from the balcony and sun terrace were outstanding. There are 4 floors in the house so would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues, otherwise I cannot praise Casa Mihrab highly enough. We had a lovely stay in Gaucin.

Relatively pleasant stay
The house is adequately furnished but as it is not airconditioned, it gets warm at night and there are many mosquitoes and insects. We get quite few nasty bites that cause itch that last couple of days. Thus be sure to bring mosquitoes repellent or oilment when you are staying during the summer.

We recently had a fantastic holiday at Casa Mirab! It is a beautiful home that is well equipped with a cosy and homely feel about it. The interior is typically Spanish and the views from the roof terrace are to die for! We found that the view changed every day or we would notice something different to look at. It is truly mesmerising. The upper sitting room was where we spend the most time, it had a lovely cosy feel about it. The location is fantastic as it is very central and local amenities are only a walk away. Would definitely recommend this property! A wonderful place to stay.

Just returned from a stay at this house and loved it. The interior is gorgeous, beautifully and tastefully furnished, and the location is perfect - only a short walk from the centre of the village, yet just far away enough to be peaceful. The views from the rooftop are mesmerising and watching the swallows swoop and dive in the early morning light was one of my favourite times of day. The village itself is very pretty and there are several bars and restaurants within a short stroll from the house.

A lovely house in a beautiful area of Andalusia
We have visited Gaucin a number of times but this was our first stay in this property. The weather in May was very warm but we managed to do some lovely walks around the village and surrounding area. A brilliant time of year for wild flowers, butterflies and bird watching. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We particularly liked the views from the terrace on the top floor. It is on four levels and the climb from the bottom bedroom to the roof terrace would not suit everybody but for us it added to the charm and character. Although Gaucin has many good places to eat we ate in quite a few nights either cooking for ourselves or buying in a take away from the fantastic delicatessen which is a short walk away.

lovely traditional spanish house in a fantastic location.
We have recently returned from this lovely house in Gaucin and would recommend it, very well situated in the village with wonderful views from the roof terrace. We had a very relaxing week, enjoyed reading several books from the great selection on the first floor, there are lots of little bars and restaurants very close by and we enjoyed eating out at Azulete in the square and el at'ico just along from the house. The house has four floors and lots of character, our favourite floor was the top floor on which we spent many an evening enjoying a glass of wine enjoying the view and listening to the swallows and swifts as they swooped and dived across the terrace. Our least favourite part of the house was the basement which is where we slept, it was very clean and had a great bathroom and was very cool however it had a damp/ musty smell and on the first night I actually thought the bed was damp (it was not) The room improved as the week went on, we continually left the windows open and let the air circulate and by the end of the week the smell had gone. Perhaps the house had not been occupied before our stay. We have stayed many times in the village over the years, always choosing somewhere different to rent and would recommend this property, it is a great base in which to stay and enjoy the beautiful countryside, it is within easy reach of Ronda, the coast and many pueblos blancos.

This is one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in, fantastic.
Jenny and Mark's house is lovely. It exceeded all expectations. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and has many personal touches which make it feel like a loved home rather than a rented house. The decor was very tasteful and the Moroccan touches lovely. The views from the 2 terraces are spectacular and the top floor, the living room, is wonderfully light; we ate all our meals here. The kitchen is really well equipped and is another lovely, spacious room. The large shower on the ground floor is just great! One thing to note: This house might not be suitable for very young children as it is spread over 4 floors and the stairs between floors have no handrails - you soon get used to the open stairs though. The house is well located in Gaucin, a large village with numerous bars offering a good choice of outdoor eating. There are some lovely walks from the village and the surrounding area is mountainous and spectacular. We would love to return in late spring when the flowers will be at their best; this is a good area to be based if you are a keen bird watcher. Jenny was very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions promptly. Brett met us when we arrived and was really helpful, as well as a font of local knowledge. We couldn't recommend this property more highly. It was a privilege to stay here and we look forward to returning. Pam Bury

Beautiful property in a delightful village
This is a beautiful property and exactly as described. Jennie was very helpful in sending directions on driving to Gaucin and parking once we arrived. Her agent, Brett, met us immediately, gave us an orientation to the small village and even gave us his cell phone number. With a gourmet take-out place, Bonissim, just a few steps away from our front door, we were able to dine each evening on the top floor balcony watching the moon rise over the village with Gibraltar in the distance. Five stars for sure! David and Carol Farmer
