"The room was lovely. I ordered room service and it was expensive and the food was okay. Could have been better for a Sofitel. Also, when I checked in I had to pay up front and I was asked what time I was checking out. Isn’t there a standard check out time? Felt like they wanted me out asap."

I think Gatwick is a good choice for the first time London visitor because of the medium size of the Airport, walkability, on site hotels, and 30 minute Gatwick Express service to central London.
