A Bear's Pause - Peaceful Wooded Scenery, Hot Tub, Fireplace, Pets Welcome!

Take A Bear's Pause in the tranquil trees of the Great Smoky Mountains at this pet-friendly, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin for 10 tucked away in Chalet Village Resort in Gatlinburg, TN. It's a great size for a group of friends, couples, or a family. In addition to all the fun amenities at the cabin, guests will have access to 3 community clubhouses that each have swimming pools in summer plus game tables, workout equipment, and lit tennis courts year-round. Not to mention, you'll be close to all the attractions, eateries, and shops in downtown Gatlinburg.

After playing in town or in the national park, slip away to A Bear's Pause to relax and enjoy quality time together. Featuring an open concept, the living room, kitchen, and dining area are connected. Hardwood floors flow throughout the space, and the ceiling is raised high to feel extra spacious. Plop on the sofas to chat or watch entertainment on the big screen TV. Kick up your feet on the ottoman and pull out your favorite book to read by the gas fireplace on cool eves.

Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen that boasts stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, and cookware, or toss meats and veggies on the gas grill outside. And serve dishes and treats at the elegant dining table with provided dishes, cutlery, glasses, and more. After mealtimes, head to the rec room to hang out and make memories, playing board games at the tables, or watching DVDs on the big screen TV.

Outside, enjoy seasonal mountain views as well as wooded scenes throughout the year from the decks that harbor seating areas with rocking chairs and cushioned wicker chairs. There's even a steamy hot tub for soothing soaks and an outdoor dining table for meals in nature. The driveway is flat, paved, and motorcycle/camper friendly with only 1 step to get inside for added convenience throughout your stay.

When it's time to say goodnight, split off into 3 bedrooms — each with a flatscreen TV and a king-size bed. There are 2 queen sleeper sofas in the home for kids or other guests. A Bear's Pause also provides a washer/dryer in case you want to pack light, as well as high speed Wi-Fi so you can stay connected while away.

Community pool access is provided and managed through a third party. Host is not liable for amenity availability, maintenance, downtime, or pool closures under any circumstances.

Great Cabin
The cabin was perfect for our family of 8. Everyone had their own space, and there was plenty of room. Our favorite parts were the fireplace, deck on both levels, and game room. Would stay again!

Family of 6
We traveled here with 6 adults. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable along with the beds! The only thing I would suggest as if you are staying longer than a couple of days would bring toilet paper as there was only one roll in each bathroom. We enjoyed our time in Gatlinburg and would stay here again!

Great Family Vacation
This was our first family vacation with adult children and it was a great cabin for that. Each one had their own area. We did have a hard time having people at the table and someone working in the kitchen. The cleaners missed alot - trash left in containers, opened alcohol in minifridge, laundry in dryer. But none of that effected our stay.

Bear pause miller time
Awesome location. Great setup. Lots of bear sightings which we loved. Dog had fun walking mountainside. Had trouble with TVs. 1 of 5 worked. Please bring supplies with you...nothing provided. Instructions on shower could be provided ahead of time or posted. King sized beds were a plus.pizza delivered was sooooo good. Priced reasonably. Pool was awesome. We stayed in community and cooked at home. Would rent again.

Loved it!
We came to town from Texas for a basketball tournament at Rocky Top Sports world. My husband, myself and our 3 children (17,16 and 13) this cabin was PERFECT for us! It was so beautiful, and the views were amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, we will be back very soon!

Mostly great.
The directions and address were great. The check in experience was great. The listing was accurate. We enjoyed the arcade and air hockey. We didn't know how to turn off the arcade for the people who slept in the gameroom. The main level bedroom was ok. The bed was too soft, almost like a down feather bed. The main level bathroom smelled of urine near the toilet, although I didn't see any. The carpet in the main bedroom had too much pet hair to have been cleaned thoroughly. (Were I the owner and paying the extra cost for cleaning, I would be very disappointed). A lot of it transferred onto my black clothes, which i had put in the floor after wearing. Overall, though, we all enjoyed our stay at the cabin.

Good location, unhappy with cabin
We are unhappy with cabin cleanliness and condition of cabin. The code to door didn’t work at check in, refrigerator door would not stay closed, shower head fell out of wall, ceiling fan sounded like an airplane taking off and shook the bedroom, the cabin was full of dust/dirt, I don’t think it had been deep cleaned in months. Most disappointing for our family is the pool table was removed. Pool sticks and balls still there but no pool table, as advertised when we booked. Additionally, the weather was cold and perfect for the fireplace. Fireplace worked our first day but stopped working the next day, after a call to Cabins for You I was told that the gas is shut off on 4/1... they could have given us notice if this. Cabins for You offered a $150 discount off our next stay, I let them know that was unacceptable because we will not be using this rental service in the future. I was told a Supervisor would call me however, that was 5 days ago and I haven’t her from the Supervisor. We have been going to this area for years with our family and this is the first and last time we will book with this service.
