"This is a clean, comfortable house, situated about 1.5 miles from the centre of Kinsale. It's well appointed with everything you would need in a vacation rental. As the owner states, your own transport is essential. We found some difficulty with getting a taxi from Kinsale once it goes beyond 8 - 9 o'clock in the evening. The Bulman gastropub is well worth a visit, only 5 minutes by car. You need to be in good shape to manage the hills around the property if you're walking!"

"Great space and lighting throughout. Comfortable and clean. Grouting and tiling in the bathroom upstairs needs a little attention and water pump to showers was a bit of a problem."

"The house was nice and quiet. It was advertised with a view of the ocean, however the hedge was so tall it was not possible to see over it for the view. In addition, the house could use a few basic instructions on the switches, stove, washer/dryer, etc readily available, in addition it would be nice to have a few more hand towels and hooks so guests can hang them to dry. Overall the place was a solid performer, lots of room to spread out; not walkable to a town but a short curvy drive in."

"This place was a wonderful stay! We used the kitchen to cook dinner and it had everything we needed. The rest of the stay was very cozy and comfortable. We were even able to see the Northern Lights!"

"We had never been to this part of Ireland. And Kinsale is a lovely area to stay around. Denise and Darlene - the delightful twin sister hosts could not have been more helpful. They were always attentive and informative but never intrusive. The property - restored by the sisters to its former glory is beautiful. The facilities are great and it has a beautiful vista over the Bandon. Kinsale itself is a lovely town with great pubs, restaurants (Bulmans and Man Friday were great), cafes and places...

"My husband and I and 1 and 5 year old stayed with 2 other families. This house was fantastic. The top bedroom is great and there was a space on the landing outside for the cot. The 1st floor has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom and the ground floor has a spacious living room, kitchen and dining room with a small outdoor courtyard and a bathroom with a washing machine and tumble dryer. "The hotel is an absolutely beautiful building, the comfortable, stylish, opulent entrance/reception area is gorgeous. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Loved the artwork throughout the hotel. My room was very clean with quality bed linen and comfortable bed, the ensuite was well equipped and although the shower over the bath seemed dated l was grateful for the bath after a long journey. No bar fridge or wine glasses in room which coming from Australia would be standard. Tea/coffee/Water and delicious biscuits provided. Breakfast selection was very good and available until 11 or 12 am which is great. The only (slight) letdown was the very young service staff at breakfast, their inexperience was obvious, more guidance could easily fix this. Unfortunately l think it’s too late to say the same for the rude male bartender at Christie’s. Loved the huge Irish shop on sight. Overall the hotel is great value and l wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or to stay there again. "
