"The owner was welcoming and friendly; the house worked because we were family but interconnecting bedrooms would make it a bit odd perhaps for larger groups. The outside space is good; the inside a bit split up - but the weather was good so this didn’t matter."

The house was warm and Olivier was available to change temperatures remotely without needing to disturb us..... "The drive out into the countryside is well worth the effort. We stayed in the two bedroom gite and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The gite is spacious and has a lovely gravel patio area in front with great views of the countryside. It was warm, so we were able to sit outside for meals, reading and watching nature and the occasional boat passing on the canal. "We visited Chateau des Louteaux for my partners 40th as a group of 20 adults (mainly couples) and it was an amazing stay. To start the photos do not do the property justice, it's truly breathtaking! Plenty of room for everyone to have their own private space as well as group activities and dining. The property is decorated with wonderful antique furniture and lots of interesting trinkets. Caroline, the housekeeper, was lovely and gave us a full tour of the Chateau on arrival and was on hand for...
