Wonderfully managed, private getaway. Birds, fireflies, and other wildlife were the only (welcome) distractions. Well located for hiking and wine tasting excursions.
This was a great stay. All the comforts of home with a great view, relaxing, secluded, near some great wineries and hiking. If you're looking for a five star luxury glamping experience this is it.
The property and the yurt were absolutely beautiful. And if you're looking to get AWAY, this is the place. It rained most of the weekend, and we still had an amazing time. Communication was terrific. Thank you so much, John.
My stay in this accommodation exceeded my expectations. It was very private, clean and quiet. very spacious inside and John made sure we had everything we needed and then some. There were even some snacks left for us which I felt was a very nice touch. I would definitelyrecommend this stay and plan on returning during the summertime.
The yurt was fantastic, it was spacious, clean and the bathroom was great! It was an incredibly windy weekend. Also very cold, yet we were completely comfortable, there is everything you need available to you and the host did check-in on us, which I appreciated. We will be back soon to enjoy the outdoor amenities a bit more. Don’t hesitate, just book!
The yurt is a beautiful space: quiet, relaxing, and impeccably clean and cozy. A perfect escape from the city while still being close to things to do. Tho we stayed in the middle of February, we were warm and comfortable through the night. The thoughtful touches in in the kitchenette (yogurt, granola and fresh berries) were kind and made the mornings easy and relaxed. The bed is also incredibly comfy! And the skylight makes for beautiful stargazing. Can’t wait to come back in the summer months and enjoy the warm weather.
Loved everything. Tucked away on a large property but close to hiking and restaurants. The yurt was very clean and welcoming. Natural light through the yurt dome was refreshing and we felt so recharged. Fire pit was all ready for us to light and use. Every detail was thought out. Really enjoyed my first yurt experience and the Catskills!
My wife and I were amazed to see all the luxuries we would find at a hotel inside this yurt. Besides being larger than a traditional hotel room, I found the bed to be more comfortable than most. There was a Keurig with a basket filled with coffee, tea and hot chocolate, granola bars, apples, jar of granola and a small fridge with yogurt, a mason jar filled with fresh berries, and another jar of 2% milk. Best of all was the full bathroom and shower inside the yurt. It was great to come back to this yurt after a day of hiking.
We had an amazing weekend to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. The yurt was clean, comfortable and private. John left us some things to snack on and there is a variety of coffee and tea to choose from. The property was so peaceful and opened up to an amazing night sky. There were no trees in the way to obstruct your view, just a big open field of grass and lots of beautiful darkness. The property was fun to explore, the pond was gorgeous! We used the outdoor kitchen for breakfast and dinner each day. There were even basic spices like salt, pepper and garlic for cooking! We spent the day hiking at the Mohonk Preserve and saw some really nice views. It was just a short drive from the property. We also used the fire pit as the evenings were cool, plenty of firewood for use. John answered any questions quickly and was a pleasure to work with. The A/C worked great, hot water was plentiful and good water pressure in the shower! We would stay here again in a heart beat. We loved every second of this peaceful, relaxing weekend away. Thank you for sharing your property with us John!
TLDR: great all around.
This yurt was cleaner, more comfortable, and more charming than the cabins in the area we've stayed in.
It was quite hot and humid when we stayed, but there's powerful (and quiet) AC to keep it cool and comfortable.
It's isolated and private in a pretty field with a great view of the Shawgunks and beautiful sunsets.
Waiting for us inside was granola, yogurt, and other goodies. There's an outdoor "kitchen" with sink, gas grill with side burner. The bathroom is spotlessly clean and has the upscale feel of what you'd find in a nice hotel.
I don't like the term "glamping" but this would be it.
It's location is excellent - we stayed with our 3 year old son and had a lovely time hiking and swimming in the gorgeous Mohonk preserve only a few minutes away.
John was an attentive and responsive host, answering all my questions before booking and then graciously helping with a couple of small requests during our stay.
Why wouldn't you stay here? Maybe if you have teenagers and need privacy. It's perfect for couples, and couples with a young kids. Maybe if you need more of full kitchen and don't want to cook outdoors.
For us it was idyllic and we look forward to coming back!
Loved this place! The owner checked on us which was very thoughtful! Very clean! The fresh fruit, granola and yogurt was a great touch. My only suggestion is to replace the wicker furniture with something more comfortable.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in this amazing yurt on a gorgeous farm for the SOS triathlon in very nearby New Paltz. The yurt was perfectly clean, incredibly comfortable, and close to Minnewaska State park and surrounding areas. Check in was a breeze. We will definitely be back!
I was looking for a quiet place in the country to spend a few days. This fit the bill with the added bonus of a pond to swim in. The owner was always available by text to answer any questions. Highly recommend.
My husband, daughter and I were in town for a wedding. Our stay in the yurt was a highlight of the weekend! It's beautiful inside and had all the amenities we needed. Drinking coffee on the deck each morning, with the mountains on the horizon and nature sounds around, was a wonderful treat.
This was our first stay in a yurt, but it won't be our last. It was the perfect getaway. The berries, yogurt, and granola made a great parfait on the first morning. The views both day and night were fantastic. We had a fire each night, roasting s'mores and enjoying the stars in the night sky. Probably the best part was listening the the rainfall on the roof. We definitely plan on returning.
Such a pretty and peaceful place to spend a week! The views were gorgeous, and the evenings in the yurt were cozy and quiet, with the sound of the rain and the frogs outside. Our dog also loved our little walks to explore the farm. Hosts were perfectly thoughtful, responsive, and unobtrusive!
John was such a great host. Staying at the yurt was something magical. We got to relax in a a beautiful place, cook dinner, and enjoy the outside by the fire place. Would highly recommend staying here!! Thank you again John!
