This lovely and updated apartment was the perfect stopover on our way between Assisi and Cinque Terre. We’ve never stayed in an agriturismo location before and appreciated the beautiful surroundings in this lovely location. The apartment was just the right size for my husband and myself and we were so grateful for the unexpected treat of Prosecco and olive oil that were gifted to us for our honeymoon. What a kind and thoughtful gesture! Our hostess, Elisa, was extremely kind and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Our apartment was situated on the upper floor of the back part of what appears to have been a former barn. The space has been fully modernized and features a lovely bathroom/shower, simple bedroom, and open kitchen/living room – much nicer than a standard hotel room – and incredibly clean. From the provided kitchenette, we were able to cook our dinner, relax on our one-night stopover, and head into San Gimignano in the morning before moving to Cinque Terre. There is a lovely pool on the property, as well, which was amazingly still open during the warm October nights. Our one qualm was the dusk-to-dawn light outside our bedroom window which opened to the inner courtyard where we could hear others walking and talking in the morning. While not as private as other apartments we stayed in, we appreciated the simplicity and beauty of this place and would recommend it to others wishing to explore the Tuscan countryside.
