Yes, the beach really is as close as it looks! Walk down to the ocean whenever the mood strikes to pick up some shells or build a sand castle. You can spend the whole vacation out on the deck and it probably wouldn't feel like enough time. There's definitely enough seating for everyone, and the private gas grill will help with anything you'd like to enjoy in the salty sea air. But you can also take advantage of the slow cooker in the full kitchen and spend most of the day playing around with the family dogs. Of course, you can always cook something up from scratch - full-size appliances and all the equipment you need (plus fish drawer pulls and a tile backsplash) are on hand to put you in a cooking mood. The private washer/dryer will take care of all the sandy clothes while everything cooks up. Wind down at night in central air conditioning, together in the sprawling living room or separately in each comfortable bedrooms. Each bedroom has their own TV and two include built-in window seats - there's just no escaping the beach views!

The ocean is just steps away from this home, and guests can enjoy Sea Isle Beach and Terramar Beach on the way to San Luis Beach (just over six miles to the southwest). Galveston Island State Park lies just under five miles away for a change of pace, and you can travel 19 miles to Galveston for some time in town.

Beautiful location
House is in a great spot. Unfortunately for stay the ac wasnt working correctly but still enjoyed ourselves on our vacation. Doors were stuck or difficult to open and house needs some updating. Lots or room for everybody and didnt feel crowded at all. Loved the huge deck space

Great view, poorly managed and not clean
Home has a great view of the beach that can be enjoyed from large windows and a deck. Unfortunately the home appears to be receiving little attention from the owner and management company. The floors and sheets appeared clean but the cabinets and kitchen was infested with roaches. We spent the first night cleaning the kitchen with Lysol and treating baseboards with roach spray. We also found a used women’s hygiene product in a cabinet. A couple of electrical outlets in the kitchen did not work and lights on the outside parking were out as well. The local neighbors asked about the owner complaining trash was often left out blowing on their property. Our family rents a home a couple of times a year in Galveston. We understand the harsh environment and difficulty in maintaining a rental property. This was the first time we have given a low review.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a nice size for six adults. It was clean and the location to the beach was ideal. The fresh flowers were a nice touch. Some of the electrical outlets were not working, especially in the kitchen. Would book this property again.

Great beach experience
We chose this beach house for its location. It has a clear unobstructed view of the beach, over the dunes. Some parts of the home are a little rough around the edges, but everything worked fine. The a/c was very good, all appliances worked, etc. However the front door should be replaced. It was difficult to open, and there are screws and jagged pieces of metal sticking out from the old storm door frame. They could easily cut someone. But we had a great time, totally relaxed and enjoyed long walks on the beach.

1 light on the deck and the light on the stairs was out. It was not safe. One front bedroom had no blinds and the neighbors windows looked right in. We put up sheets but as an all female group it didn’t feel safe. The master front bedroom had broken, nonfunctional blinds. There were no extra blankets as advertised. All extra pillows were soiled, some even had blood stains. There was no cover or deck furniture as shown in the pictures. All interior furniture was old, torn and dirty.

Was aweful!! Unsafe and have lots of Pics to show several unsafe hazards that the kids could have been fatally hurt!! From the gate on the deck with rusted away latch no latch gone. Board in the Deck that the littlest one could possibly fall through to the railing that either boys could fall the rough. Cockroaches and one huge one with pics to show it all. Filter for the return air nasty dirty with pics as well and youngest grandson has Asthma so Oooooofta… The disappointment just kept going and this property should not be listed as a place for family fun n vaca., The Gas grill has been broke for a long time n trying to Grill Steaks was a disaster n an expensive on at that.. Come all the way from Nebraska n spent a lot of money just to get here n for this.. Shame on the whole lot of you as I wouldn’t stay at this place even if it were free…

No shade or picnic table or bistro that ad pictures show. 4” cockroach infestation. No working lock on the door. Never checked in. After an hour in the driveway arguing with vacasa, we drove home with our groceries and our stress. NEVER AGAIN VRBO.

Neglect place but great location.
Hmmm, where should I start? Ok, if you don’t care about the condition of place you’re staying at then you can keep reading. If you’re like most average people who are looking for at least basic quality stay then just stop here…this place is not for you. Everything good about this place is outside. First row, right on the beach, beautiful view . The place is failing apart. Everything in this house is super old and outdated. Missing curtains or blinds on half of the windows gives you absolutely no privacy. Yeah, you can fix the issue by hanging sheets and towels over the windows as we did. Old and worn furniture including couches, beds, etc. The bed in the master bedroom is shaking-squeezing by just touching it is literally about to fall apart. Condition of the bathrooms is same…old, outdated and ugly (I don’t want to say nasty). Same thing with the kitchen. Also a lack of glassware. Not enough glasses for 4 people let alone 10. Spacious terrace the deck of which is in horrible condition. No table and chairs or patio furniture on it. Huge but empty and useless terrace… what a shame!!! How clean the place is? My first impression was that the place was also very dirty but after realizing how bad the condition of the place was I started thinking that no matter how hard you are trying to clean it up you will never get to the point where looks clean.Needs full renovation! I can keep going but will stop here. Conclusion: neglect property but great location. Just go outside and enjoy!

A very nice get away
Enjoyed sitting on deck watching the sun rise over the Gulf. Just a short walk to the beach. House was clean, bed was comfortable, living area had good internet tv and each bedroom had a tv. Tub in master bath a little hard to get into, but shower in guest bath was easy

This is a great location. Front row The house in need of updates in the kitchen and bathrooms. The deck had a gate so good for dogs but in need of repair. They need to update photos. With such a fantastic location. Spend a little to update and would be awesome.

Good location, easy access to the beach, quiet good neighbor. For 3 days we could not stay in the house the AC was out. 90 at night and 94 during the day. Could not get ETA on repairs. No one offered extra fans or portable AC. Would of been the perfect place :(

Location was great but deck was not safe screws popping up, coffee maker did not work, lacking supplies like trash bags, and utensils. Grill was rusting and blinds were in disrepair. My family and I loved the location but home needs some TLC to be worth the price. Internet was great and had plenty of sleeping space.

False advertising
I wish I could give this property a 0 because of what we had to deal with. We stayed for 10 days and that is why I am so disappointed. I wrote before checking in to make sure that the issues from previous reviews had been resolved. I was told that they were. We go to check in and there is no patio furniture besides 3 captains chairs and left over camping chairs and beach chairs from other vacationers. The only other out door seating on the deck was the bench along the railing. The dishwasher and microwave didn't work, but they put a counter microwave in a cabinet that we eventually found. The floors hadn't been cleaned, our feet were black within ab hour of bringing in our stuff. The walls were dirty, no touch points were cleaned at all. The single bed has drawers under it and they hadn't been cleaned and had black animal hair all in them. The master bedroom bed was completely unsafe and by the last few nights we were nervous to sleep on it because the middle braces were bending and screws were coming out of the wood. It also looks like they did a shotty job at putting the bed together. The kitchen had old food and dead bugs in the cabinets. The cookware needs to be replaced. There was only a few things we could use safely without the worry of the nonstick cooking off into our food. Everything was mismatched, pots didn't have lids, coffee pot still had dried coffee and grounds in it, everything looked like it was grabbed from a thrift store and just put in the cabinets.

Online listing is misleading but Great view/access to beach
I agree with the previous review from April 2023 regarding the condition of the house inside and outside. Once I read that review, I even reached out to the mgt company before our trip in early June regarding that review confirming that the majority of the issues listed would be taken care of. I was assured it would be but it wasn’t. The pictures are outdated. There were no lounging chairs/tables on the deck and the deck cover hasn’t been replaced. Dishwasher still wasn’t fixed, cooking items still horrible, no beach towels were provided, and cabinets had rodent droppings. The AC went out on us on the last day so at least I was compensated for 1 night. I did talk to a manger stressing the importance that they need to update the pictures online because they are false advertising the property. Also mentioned that it’s very easy to replace the pots/pans, cooking utensils by simply going to a Dollar Tree. As of today, the pictures online have still not been updated so assuming the other issues have not been corrected either. It has great access to the beach but due to all of the other things that the mgt company continues to ignore, I would not rent this property again.

Could be so much better, nice views and beach access
We knew this property was a little rough around the edges from reading the reviews. The highs- it has great access to the beach, large windows with beautiful views. The air conditioning worked well, it had a great open floor plan and good-sized bedrooms. The laundry was in the primary bedroom and was very convenient. Mid- the location is a bit of a haul to everything that’s happening in Galveston if you, like our family, found ourselves making the trip almost daily- 20-25 minutes. The lows- everything is just in rough shape- from the bed/throw pillows, to the window treatments (my son’s bedroom was missing the middle window blind) to the cookware and utensils. There wasn’t a decent pan to make breakfast- just a bunch of rag tag sauce pans and kettles. The dishwasher was broke and we had planned on having that amenity for our week long vacation- no other compensation besides- “we’re sorry”. The kitchen cabinets were sticky and the top of the fridge was caked with dirt and dust. The bathrooms have a range of broken, loose, and missing cabinet pulls and fixtures (toilet tissue holders, etc.) The deck has many raised nails and boards. There is no pergola as pictured. The photos in the listing should be updated. Overall my family had a great time in Galveston- but I wouldn’t rent this property again and would heed reviews describing the maintenance issues- especially since we didn’t need a pet friendly rental.

The perfect getaway
We loved our stay here. While the property needs some minor improvements - it is a wonderful location and we would definitely stay again. We loved the open layout of the home and the views from the porch are amazing. So peaceful. It rained a couple days of our stay but because of the big windows in the living room we still felt like we got to enjoy that “beach front” experience. We loved being walking distance from the beach and that there was a dune between us and the public parking so you don’t feel like you’re on top of people while out on the deck. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend a stay here!

Great location
The property is older and in need of updates, repairs, and a deep cleaning, however, GREAT LOCATION! This time of year the beach is empty and it’s very peaceful and relaxing.
