Galveston Escapes - Walk to Beach and Restaurants

The POWER is back - please book and Bring the whole family or come work remotely with a short walk to the Seawall Boulevard, and to the beach. The house is located just 3 small blocks from the seawall (0.24 mile), beach, and restaurants, and only 1 mile from Pleasure Pier. House has been renovated in the fall of 2022. With its central location, it is ideal for any outing on the island. Your pets are also welcome - we know they are part of the family. We invite you to stay and make memories that will last a lifetime!

IMPORTANT - if it is raining, please help us to protect the house: there are "sand socks" that are located by the front door on the bottom shelf. Please put them under the front door to prevent water from the outside leaking inside the house. The house is sloped so that the rain water may get in and the floor and rug in the living room would get wet. #galveston

The house is located in a great area near the sea wall. The house is clean with all of the necessary amenities. The bedrooms are large and the house was perfect for a Galveston getaway

great mini spring break trip
nice newly renovated house. good beds, bathrooms, shower, cable, wifi, kitchen, living room and back patio. its stocked with anything you might forget and clear instructions for check-in & out. close to the strand and seawall restaurants.

A great home feel!
I was very pleased with the home. Only 2 1/2 blocks from the beach. It's in the middle of everything. The host was very responsive to any requests. We had plenty of room for the kids. Too bad we couldn't stay longer to enjoy it more. Highly recommend this home!

We had a great stay in this close to the beach little dream house! It had everything we needed and it was so clean! The decorations were spot on for a beach trip! I would definitely rent from this host again as she was prompt in replies and even let us check in early! The house had everything we needed! Just a block or so down from the beach and to Guidos! No need to drive! Loved our time in Galveston!

Convenient Beach House
The house was well decorated had plenty of bed space and room for inflatable mattresses. Everything was clean, but there were some supplies missing (toliet paper, trash bags etc) so you may need to get extra supplies. Also there were a two roaches at the place. Aside from these issues, it's a decent stay for a group beach trip.

Mardi Gras 2023
Great location just minutes away from the strand! We came for Mardi Gras and it was the perfect spot. FYI it looks like the city of Galveston is doing some construction so the route to the house isn’t direct. Another result of the construction was the parking next to the street was very muddy and there was also a giant pipe in the front yard. Again no fault of the property owner just the way things are currently. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again next year.

Nice home in Galveston
Was very clean and more roomy than I expected. Modern appliances and decent furnishings. A couple of things out of service that could not be fixed due to it being a holiday weekend but we made lemonade out of lemons and enjoyed our time on the island. Neighbors had barking dogs (all night) and a lot of foot traffic up and down road at all hours. Great location near the Seawall though. Nice deck out back. Would stay there again!!!

Hidden Gem
This house is honestly in a perfect location, close enough to everything but also far enough to avoid the congestion and fallout from heavy traffic times and days. The pictures don't do justice to the actual space in the house, very roomy and perfectly equipped, I had to work this week and having 2 different desks with really good Wifi speeds was a big plus. Aside from some minor cosmetic issues from normal usage of the house everything was great. The only issues were not under the control of the hosts, the street construction was not an issue, only when I had to jump on conference calls for work. We will be back next summer

Great Location!
My family and I booked for 1 night to take a cruise the following day, and the property was great, has plenty of room, fantastic kitchen, and all amenities you need. Location was convenient to stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend this property if your traveling to Galveston.

Summary
Upon arrival, the cleaning person was leaving; the front walkway was covered in broken glass and they failed to pick it up. Quickly discovered ants in the kitchen/dining room. Floor by kitchen sink was weak and you had to stand in it while using sink. Day 2 we found someone in the house, he was there to do an air inspection. Checked phone and found a text message from owner (been at beach all day and had phone in a bag) giving me a 30 minute notice of the inspection. I was told that this had been previously scheduled and couldn't be rescheduled. Meaning that I could have been told with more advance notice and had an opportunity to secure personal items inside the house. Attempted to wash some towels and found that the dryer was not working. Owner said they were waiting on warranty repair. Another thing I should have been told about in advance so I could have made other arrangements. Owner did offer to have cleaning person come get our clothes but never heard back to schedule a time for them to top by. I went to local washeteria. Just a few other things that were irritating: seen a roach in the kitchen and we were left with one trash bag for a 4 day trip with 8 people.

My family and I stayed a couple of days visiting Galveston. Kevin and Katerina’s property was located in a very convenient area for us to be able to visit many of the places Galveston has to offer. The property itself was very accommodating. Would definitely rebook in the future and recommend to friends as well.

Good location but missing some of the basics
We stayed here before a cruise. There were six of us and the house was definitely big enough. The house lacked some kitchen items (pot holders, coffee) and the items used in the house seemed to be of lower quality (pillows, blankets, etc). House served its purpose for one night but if I was staying longer, would look for a different rental. Easy to walk places with a convenient store and restaurant a couple of blocks away.

Great trip to Galveston
Great location. Short walking distance to the beach. Short drive to the strand. Enjoyed local restaurants (Queens BBQ & Original Mexican Restaurant) & museums. After a walk on the beach we stopped several times for a boba tea at Teaside Tapioca. Our only complaints about our month long stay was the master bedroom mattress was horrible. Good news for us only being 2 people the guest room mattress was excellent. I would recommend staying at this house. Even a great backyard for our dog.

The house had plenty of room and was pretty nice! Was well stocked for convenience. Really nice backyard. The only con was the mattress in master bedroom. Time for it to be replaced. I would definitely recommend this property!

Wonderful getaway
We loved staying here. And we will be back for sure.. Had a little issue with the a/c , when we came in and the landlord had someone out asap and had it foxed. 8nhad great communication with both of them.. The house is comely renovated, the new backporch is amazing,, a/c brand-new too. Kroger and Walmart is not to far away for your grocery needs. Restaurants and beaches (Seawall) are in walking distance. We took the free ferry out to Crystal Beach which was amazing and only a short ways away. Jamaica beach is something I highly recommend too, since you can drive with your suv into the beach, pop the trunk open, set your gazebo tent up and spend all day there. At the house we loved the big kitchen and there us space enough for 2 families and a bunch of kids. I went with my 3 boys and the two older once enjoyed there own rooms and the little one staid with me. We also had our 2 labs with us. The backyard is great for them to run and the yard is completely closed in (6ft wood fence) and they have nowhere to escape. The fence also gives you privacy and there is a grill and a fireplace for you to use. Highly recommend! I would give it 10 stars if I could.
