"This was our third time staying in this castle apartment. It’s a lovely little piece of heaven. We love everything about it. The views are simply spectacular! We love the kitchen and prepared several meals while there. The location is great and the town is so very cute. There are great restaurants all around and it’s an easy drive to lots of other little towns, restaurants, and shops and wineries. "Cabbiavoli was the gathering place for our two week celebration with family and friends for my husband’s retirement. We were within an hour of every place we wanted to visit (Florence, Siena, Piza, Volterra) and even got to do the Cinque Terre hike, albeit a long day but so worth the two hour drive time! The train being so close made all excursions possible. Wineries are very close and within driving distance. Cabbiavoli itself is loaded with history and its grounds and views are breathtaking....

"Beautiful place to visit. We knew it was a bit far from town so we were disappointed that the restaurant had such limited hours, only 3 hours in the evening and no place to get coffee in the morning. Also did have a temporary issue with the water pressure in one bathroom."

Plenty of dead moskitos covered the walls additionally. Mold in the bathrooms and strange stains. There were doors instead of windows and no fly screens at all. "We stayed one week in one of the appartments outside of the castle. We had the big one (No. 1.B) with 4 bedrooms. So a lot of space for 4 people like us, it might be a bit more cosy with the supposed 8 people max. capacity. The environment around the castle is great, pure Tuscan, great views of the countryside and most of the Tuscan attractions are close by to be reached within a daytrip. Rooms were clean and in reasonable shape. The fridge was big enough and had a huge freezer compartment....
