Beautiful country setting with pond on acreage. Come stay and enjoy being close to kayaking, hiking, driving the parkway, wineries, etc. Non-Smoking and well behaved and house trained pets welcome. We loved this lovely cottage/home near the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was a little skeptical about all 10s involving the reviews posted, but this place is truly excellent if you like to get away from it all. Kathy is a wonderful host and of all the places we have been, this place by far has been the best!

We had a very enjoyable relaxed stay. My husband enjoyed the catch and release pond and I enjoyed sitting by the pond in the sun. Galax is a very quaint town to visit with several very good restaurants.

The pond was down the hill - full of Bass fish we caught 10-15 within an hour of casting - comfortable bed - private - beautiful scenery - deer almost at the front door - easy TV controls- 8 minutes from town- restaurants etc... we plan on coming back again next year and staying longer - we loved it, Great Anniversary trip !!! Thank you to the owners for a perfect weekend

Fantastic place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary trip, and this lovely cottage was a large part of it. The place looked brand new and was beautifully decorated, including a Christmas tree; it also had everything we wanted as far as amenities. The setting was pastoral and peaceful, yet Galax was only a few miles away. If we come back to Galax for our anniversary next year, we will definitely try to book this cottage again.

Wonderful find in Galax!
We were looking for a nice clean place we could go on vacation in the mountains with our lab Sadie. We found it. Beautiful place away from the town but close enough to restaurants and grocery store. Kathy was a wonderful host. We look forward to returning.

The information and photos are misleading. Finding the place was difficult; then once there access was via a steep gravel driveway that was unsafe to go down and would have been nearly impossible to climb up. As a result, I turned around and found other safer accommodations.
