"We stayed for 1 night travelling from Salzburg to Venice. A clean and friendly family feel to this place in a spectacular location with supermarket couple of mins drive away. Staff were welcoming and helpful and supplied a good breakfast. Our room was fairly basic but gave what was required but we did have to report a running toilet and the room got very hot due to heatwave and lack of any air con. Balcony was an added bonus. "

"Well located, very comfortable bed. Hard to park- room keys did not work to open garage door and reception closes at 6pm and restaurant around 11pm so not possible to get help if one gets there late. Parking close by is expensive."

"What a wonderful and interesting place to stay! I almost couldn’t leave and explore as there’s so much to see within the premises. My particular room would not be many people’s choice of decor but it was such a talking point and did not deter from the comfort. This hotel could never be called boring and the restaurant was incredible with absolutely fabulous food. The staff were fantastic and so accommodating and warm. If I return I needn’t look for anywhere else to stay! I’d also quite like to...

"Hotel City is ideal for a short or extended stay in Villach. Courteous and friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent staff. A great breakfast is included in price. Location couldn’t be better-across square from railway station, beside bus terminal and convenient to centre of town which is only a few minutes stroll. Highly recommended "

"Location is great. That’s it. The rest is terrible or very basic. The rooms are probably from 1980 or earlier (see the photos). The price per room is around 300 euro per night. This is the lowest standard we ever been to considering the fee. Rude and arrogant receptionist (the blonde one). Room dirty see the photos. I would rather sleep in a car than stay in this room. "
