"Really enjoyed our stay. All the staff were lovely. They were having refurbishments done to the rooms. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms and were very impressed with our stay. Would definitely stay here again. The hotel had great views and was a short walk away from the shops. "

"Had an early check in was seen to right away very pleasant and friendly I asked for a room with a view as I’m claustrophobic. I was upgraded to a sea view at no extra cost. we paid for dinner and breakfast all meals were delicious got seated straightaway . Our room was nice and big with 2 tub chairs for watching to the bed was a king size and nice and comfy .Only thing wrong was the floorboards in some places were a bit squishy I think may need replacing and headboard and side lamps a bit old fashioned but for the price we paid and upgrade I can’t complain .We will definitely be back thankyou for a lovely stay . S"

"This hotel listing is incorrect we booked a hotel we thought was in Whitby but this property has been closed for at least the last few months and apparently this hotel is actually in hawes 80miles from Whitby despite all info showing it is in Whitby so we turned up in whitby , no hotel and nowhere else to stay at an affordable price in the Easter holidays so had to go home Do not book this hotel until the issues sorted - check trip advisor we are not the only ones who have been affected "

"Lovely clean room, comfy bed. Ate in the bar & enjoyed a nice meal, friendly staff in bar area. It was not warm enough to sit in the garden but in warmer weather there were plenty of tables outside in a nice spacious garden. Hotel is situated away from the centre of whitby but is very handy for the park & ride bus service which works out much cheaper than using the town car parks. "

"We really enjoyed our stay but found the cleaning timetable below expectations. We like to relax after lunch but our room was not cleaned until after 3pm which meant that we had to arrange our activities around the hotel schedule rather than the other way round. When we asked there appeared to be no flexibility in the cleaning schedule ."
