"Although, on checking in, we had a WIFI issue this was efficiently remedied for which we were immensely grateful. The property was clean, beds comfortable and kit chen well equipped with heated floors in bathroom and downstairs bedroom. Jonas was a great host and promptly answered any questions we asked. "The host was very helpful in guiding us to and inside the property when we arrived late at night (our phones weren’t so helpful and took a while to connect to cell service to read the instructions.) We recommend restarting phones asap upon arrival in Bergen. Conveniently located in a neighborhood close to busses and grocery with all the comforts of home Lovely Pub nearby, Dr Weiseners. "Great place slightly removed from the noisy city center (~30-minute walk through interesting neighborhoods—we like to walk!—or 14 minutes by easy public transport) with a local neighborhood feel, a pretty river close by, and convenient services (grocery stores, an excellent bakery). "The location of this property was charming and full of character. The view from the windows was beautiful and it was clean. Bergen was the first stop of our Norway vacation. On Top of the City was perfect for our family of 4. The host, Jonas, was responsive and answered my questions promptly. The property is on the 3rd floor so there is a spiral staircase, no elevator. There are 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, 1 bathroom, and a small kitchen. Very close to the wharf and Floibanen. We loved...

"Sigurd’s home is absolutely lovely. The location is peaceful and beautiful, with a wonderful view. But more importantly, the house is spotless and equipped with everything you need to have a home away from home. We hated leaving. And he responded to any needs we had right away. "The hotel was within walking distance of dining, shopping and the Funicular. The breakfast offered each morning had a broad selection of breads, meats, cheeses and many types of egg dishes. The beds were probably the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Excellent property. Great value. Some renos happening, but minimal noise and inconvenience. Very friendly staff. Great meals included in the price. I felt quite at home here as a solo traveller. I had a spacious twin room with bathtub and partial view of harbour and hillside houses. Charming. "
