Staying at Casa Saverio, CS, was the highlight of our trip. The house is located in the town of Furore which is built on the side of a mountain on the Amalfi Coast. The views from CS are some of the most spectacular that you will ever see. Enjoy the sunrise as well as the sunset on the large wrap around balcony with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The home is well represented by the pictures on the website and most importantly are the amenities: kitchen has an extensive selection of cooking utensils and cookware, coffee pot, espresso maker, gas stove, oven, large refrigerator, dishwasher, glassware, plates, flatware etc…The kitchen is very modern and newly remodeled. There are three bedrooms (2 double and 1 with two single beds). The beds are very comfortable, firm and the linens are definitely good quality. The double bedrooms have their own bathroom with a powerful showers, lots of natural light, beautiful tile floor, modern fixtures and lots of clean and fresh towels, shampoo and body gel are available. There is also a laundry room with washer and plenty of soap. No dryer, but just hang the clothes on the clotheslines outside the you'll have great smelling clothes for the rest of the trip. CS also offers cooking lessons as they have Chef Cristina who is a fabulous cook. We couldn't resist the cooking lessons after tasting her delicious peach pie, meat and cheese tray, orange marmalade and welcoming snacks that were provided upon our arrival. Chef Cristina taught us how to make potato gnocchi, authentic Italian tomato sauce, lemon chicken cutlets and lemon cake with lemon cream center with merengue frosting. CS is surrounded by an organic garden and everything that is cooked by the family is fresh and tasty. Finally, Saverio (the owner) and his father were gracious to drive us to Positano and Amalfi during the days that we wanted to sightsee but not sure if this is available all the time. The transportation arrangements from Naples train station to CS were made by Saverio. This house is perfect for a family that is looking for a peaceful location but be aware that there is lots of walking to nearby markets and other attractions if you don;t have a car. The walking can be difficult from someone who is not active so please be prepared with good walking shoes. There is a great restaurant, Relish, just a few steps away from CS. The food is home made and the owner speaks English as does Saverio.
