"Absolutely amazing, clean, spacious living space. The grounds have plenty of sitting areas. I love the hammocks. It is a short drive to some beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops. They also provide a shuttle service. Its a well maintained and managed property. We would go back. The city is moving closer to the little paradise. "

"Workers were kind and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. The surroundings were amazing, and while there was not night life, they included a pizza and bottle of wine for dinner! I'd definitely stay here again. It was beautiful, tucked near Mountain View's, with a room that had 'old-world' charm. "

"This hotel offers all the benefits of a private villa yet the perks of a five-star hotel. It will soon have a Relais et Chateau boutique rating we are sure! Its location near Taormina yet higher up in the mountains means that you are very near many of the must sees of Sicily and learn a lot about the unique geology and history of the area. We enjoyed tours of Mount Etna, and the Etna Donatella winery, hiked down to the Alcantara Gorge & enjoyed dining in many of the nearby towns. We stayed for a...

"It was very difficult to find, as it was not where GPS said it was and we could not see it from the road. It was equivalent to a U.S. motel - nothing fancy but it suited our needs and was one of the few options we could find in the area. "

"I spent couple of days at this hotel and at the time was happy with the hotel and location was ideal for what we wanted to use it for. I booked through Expedia and on check out I said the hotel should be pad for already, the receptionist said no the money held s only for security and I need to pay. When I went to pay the receptionist tried to charge me 20 euros more then agreed but I didn't notice and put my chip and pin in and paid. He then apologised and gave me back 20 Euros in cash. "Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff certainly helpful and pleasant. The hotel is next to a railway track so the noise of the trains can be heard from around 6am till midnight. Also the door system is quite complicated. Wifi was only available near the reception so that was frustrating. Overall it was fine."

"Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das liebevolle Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Rezeptionistin konnte gut Deutsch und konnte mit vielen tollen Tipps weiterhelfen. Die Zimmer wurden nur einmal pro Woche gereinigt, aber auch das Zimmerpersonal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns vorsorglich sehr ausreichend mit Toilettenpapier, Mülltüten und anderem versorgt. Wir waren zur Nebensaison (Anfang Mai) im Hotel und leider war der hoteleigene Pool nicht gefüllt und somit unbenutzbar....

It was a nice room with a steaming hot shower; which felt great after a long day of travel. "The villa was beautiful and very clean , the host Daniela was kind and sweet, showed us the best places to go for good food also surprised us with a home made eggplant parmigiana and a bowl of fresh fruits. I would recommend this villa to anyone who wants to have quiet but at the same time be close to the beach and restaurants."

Charming hotel on the cliffs of Taormina

"Villa Taormina and its hosts are as charming as the eponymous town. Our room was lovely and sizeable, easily able to fit a cot for our teenager. The beds were so comfortable -- critical after a day of hiking up the local cliffs. Our room's balcony opened onto a sweet garden area with a pool. The abundant breakfast buffet was served in a bright, balconied room on the top floor looking over the sea and Mt Etna. Our hosts guided us to the best local restaurants, regaled us with stories about the history of the hotel and the town, and made us feel like family friends. The heart of town, with its sweet restaurants and shops, was a few steps away. "

Great views and convenient access

"Hotel Continental has wonderful views of Etna, the sea, and Taormina from the terrace and the dining room. It is also (relatively) easy to access in a car compared to many options in town, but also only a short walk to the Main Street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. "
