Great apartment in fantastic location
Ana is a great host and her apartment is superb. All required amenities including dishwasher and washing machine. Lovely view. Very close to the seaside, 5 minutes to Plaza Madeira, big shopping center where you can get all you need. Ana is very responsive to any queries and helpful. We will surely return back to this apartment when visiting Madeira again!

Good size apartament with nice view
Spacious apartment with a good view. Two bedrooms (one en-suite) plus a second bathroom, both with shower and toilet, kitchen (dishwasher) and a large living room with dining table. From the living room there is an exit to the sunny terrace (table with chairs and two deckchairs). There is also a garage, I don't know if it's available because we didn't use it. The distance from the center is about 10 minutes walk. Quiet street without cars. Personally, I am very pleased with the apartment and its location. The view from the terrace and the living room (glass sliding door from floor to ceiling) is really great! If I had to mention a minus, unfortunately there is a power line in front of the house and the view is disturbed by cables, but for me it was not very important. Overall, I recommend it and give it 5 stars🙂

We keep returning to this property as it offers so much. It is comfortable, near to town but away from traffic, and although the walk back uphill is demanding (taxis are plentiful and reasonably-priced) the view is the main attraction - directly over the harbour, perfect for watching marine activity and a grandstand view of the June fireworks. The hosts are always very helpful and quick to respond to queries or problems. Obrigada!

Estivemos 2 pessoas nesta casa da freguesia de São Pedro durante uma semana. A casa está muito bem equipada, a zona é muito sossegada e a vista é deslumbrante. A partir do momento em que o terraço começa a receber sombra e até ao final da noite, é difícil pensar em melhor local para estar. A vista para o Funchal e para o mar é deslumbrante e um verdadeiro bálsamo, simplesmente não apetece sair dali. A chegada do ferry "Lobo do Mar" (cerca das 22h30), e cuja marcha podemos acompanhar, como que fecha o dia da melhor maneira. Altamente recomendável!

Amazing view and spacious, well equipped apartment
We stayed here over Christmas and New Year and had an amazing view of the fireworks. It is an easy, short walk into town downhill but coming back is more challenging so when with pushchair took a taxi back from shopping centre 4-5 Euros otherwise walked and broke a sweat! Beds were harder than we like but adequate. Comfortable sofas. Great supply of towels and sheets and very well equipped kitchen. Very clean, no bugs! We loved the big balcony too.

Another lovely stay in this well-equipped and comfortable apartment, although sadly the coronavirus situation became serious during our visit and life became difficult for residents and tourists alike. The owner was very helpful in booking taxis and accommodating us. I hope that one day we will be able to return.

Best view in Funchal!
It really is all about location - breakfast on the east-facing terrace watching the winter cruise ships come and go, then a glass of wine later when the hillside opposite lights up at dusk. The walk down into town is easy and quick, the return uphill is payment for the big lunch or ice-cream! The apartment itself is modern and well-equipped, not that we did much cooking with so many restaurants to choose from. Our hosts were very helpful and quick to respond when we had a few problems and were only ever a phone call or text away. We have tried 3 other apartments on previous visits but if we return to Madeira we would not want to stay anywhere else but here. Enjoy!

Lovely apartment with stunning views
We had a great time staying in this apartment and were alot fitter when we left than when we arrived as you have to climb a steep hill to get there! There's everything you need to make your stay comfortable and a great balcony to sit and enjoy the view.....it well positioned above West Funchal above and very close to two lovely museums. The only problem was we found the balcony door difficult to open with the key. This property is also ideal if you hire a car as it has a garage (we didn't a car you you might if you want to visit more of the island. We'll be back to Madeira again and would like to rent the apartment again if it's available.

Fabulous Apartment.
We have just spent 2 weeks in this property, May 12th 26th 2018. This apartment is basic, clean, and has everything that one needs, has a secure garage, and best of all........ Fabulous views over Funchall harbour, from the lovely sunny balcony. The apartment is up a fairly steep hill, in a residential area, but if one takes the hill slowly, it’s not a problem. As for shopping, we bought only what we needed on a daily basis, so as to avoid walking up the hill with heavy bags. The apartment is only 10 minutes away from Funchall Centre and all its attractions. We had a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable holiday, for our second visit to Madeira, if we go back next year, I would not hesitate to book the same apartment again! Many Thanks to Joao and Maria, who always answered any queries within a very short time. Highly recommended!

Lovely apartment: well decorated, well situated and well provided for.
Comfortable, well - provided apartment, with lovely views, on steep hill above port. The ECO bus (00- Variation 2 Cruzes) stops at the end of the street, which makes getting to and from town much easier. Relax and eat/drink on the balcony. Watch the cruise liners come and go. 2 museums and 2 cafes nearby. La Vie shopping centre, including Pingo Doce, and Carriere Street of restaurants within walking distance downhill: take a taxi home unless you are fit!

This apartment is a delight.Every piece of equipment you could possibly need.Very comfortable and exceptionally well maintained .The view from the balcony (which is the main entrance) is amazing.Overlooks the majority of the city and the harbour.We spent hours watching the ships come and go.Within easy distance of bars.restaurants etc.One word of caution - if you are not good on your legs or have cardiac problems make sure you have a car/taxi as walking back up the hill to the apartment can be a struggle - especially if you are full of the fabulous food on offer !!Apart from that I would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing Views, Great Location
We booked our stay at short notice as our original accommodation fell through. When we saw the pictures of this place and the price we were convinced there must be a catch but there really wasn't. The lounge is very spacious and the views from the balcony are simply stunning. Best aspect for us was the location as despite being on a quiet street it is right in the heart of Funchal within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants and the waterfront. It is a bit of a climb walking back up the hill which perhaps wouldn't suit everybody but we didn't mind at all. We much preferred being in the older, more characterful part of the city than the modern hotel district. Overall we would thoroughly recommend this property. Some advice for future visitors. Don't rely on a SatNav (or GPS) to find this place. The area is full of one way systems that our device did not recognise. Better to use the detailed instructions provided by the owners.

Tolle Aussicht
Die Aussicht auf den Hafen von Funchal ist fantastisch. Der Weg zur Wohnung ist sehr steil. Die Aus- und Einfahrt der Garage war häufig durch falsche geparkte Fahrzeuge sehr schwierig.. Die Wohnung selbst war etwas abgewohnt. Das Sofa war speckig, der Sonnenschirm auf der Terasse war kaputt und daher nicht zu gebrauchen.

Soggiorno fantastico
Casa vacanze perfetta, si trova in una posizione perfetta vicino al centro, al lungomare e a vari supermercati, ristoranti. Dotata di garage è ottima per non stressarsi nella ricerca del parcheggio. Poi che dire, terrazzo magnifico con affaccio sull’oceano. Consigliatissima !!!

Property was nice, with beautiful view. Easy to walk to Funchal center. Garage for 2 cars OK but difficult to go out due to small roads and people that park just in front if it. Kitchen well equiped. We didnt know that there were additional towers in the cupboard, have seen them the day before departure 😑 We spent a nice week.

Séjour à Madère
Notre hôte s'est occupé d'envoyer un taxi nous chercher à l'aéroport. La dame qui fait le ménage nous a reçu chaleureusement. L'appartement était très propre et bien équipé en linge de maison. L'appartement est situé près du centre ville et il est facile de faire les courses. Le garage est super pour la voiture de location même si la rue est étroite. Bref, tout a été parfait.
