"Beautifully kept and restored historic building built as a hotel overlooking the Mississippi. Fresh flowers at the entrance, in the lobby and dining room. Clean, classy, pleasant and helpful staff. Good restaurant with view of the river. Nicely kept park and walk/ bike path behind the hotel. We went to go biking on the Cannon Valley trail. Staff offered to lick up our bike. Ample, easy access parking garage. Would like to have towel racks or shelf for towels outside the shower space. Would like to have cups in the bathroom. Love the pressed tin ceiling, tasteful wall and window coverings, historic reproduction carpets and all of the historic artifacts documented in the hallways. Like staying in a well kept museum. Memorable and distinctive. Beats the typical hotel experience."

"We loved this hotel and felt like we were staying with family that we liked. So nice to have a restaurant within walking distance next to the hotel, since we were exhausted from driving and didn't want to do more car time. The pool was really nice and everything was clean. Elevators were quick and staff members were so kind to us. "
