Trout's loft Apartment
This apartment is clearly a converted long-term rental as it is part if a multi-unit building. Kudos to the owner for finding a way to generate income, probably more than if it was rented out on a long term residential basis. So, good for vacationers and close proximity to Shenandoah national park. ( One wonders how the long-term residence of the building feel about their rotating neighbors.)
We never saw another soul on this building, but it has a nice location with easily walkable stores and restaurants. The parking was appreciated. It's on a street in the historic old town area with lots of charm, and newer developed areas around it. There are no chain stores and restaurants in this area which adds to the charm.
This unit has been cleaned up nicely on the surface and decorated extensively. What it lacks in practicalities (luggage rack, place to set toiletries, kitchen table) is made up for with decorative tchotchkes and copious pillows. Large kitchen.
Neither owner nor their contact responded to questions asked when we arrived (luckily nothing crucial) but did respond we left.
