A must visit – this home is truly a house for all seasons - where you can enjoy nature and a quaint, historic town.
The space
The main floor is equipped with a full kitchen, ADA bed/bath on the first floor, dining area for 10, kitchen island with seating for 4, living area with comfy sofa, "charging" station with 4 bar height seats, family room with lush leather couches and recliners, with black out curtains for movie nights, and tons of games including a dart board, and finally an office space where you can take in the mountain views over coffee.
There are 5 bedrooms upstairs with plenty of closet space, night lights for children, 2 full baths, lots of towels and spare linens. The spacious Master has 1 King bed, black-out curtains, Smart TV, settee, armchair, walk-in-closet, and full bath. The “Mountain View” and “Sage” Rooms have 1 Queen bed each with reading chairs. There are 2 Bunk Rooms with 3 twin beds each. Both have childrens step stools, reading chairs, TVs and DVD players.
In the backyard is a children’s swing set easily visible from the kitchen window with slide and climbing wall. Linens & Towels, 100% organic cotton, provided.
Explore the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah Valley, Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive, Luray Caverns or Skyline Caverns in all their seasonal glory! The house is just 10 miles from Trumbo Hollow Hike Trailhead - Appalachian Trail.
Adventure is easily found through a variety of family-friendly outdoor activities - hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, axe-throwing, biking, camping, and much more! Just 6 miles from the house is Morgan Ford Bridge where on the Shenandoah River (the canoe capital of Virginia) you can throw in a line, take a swim, or paddle around in a canoe on one of the 2 fishing kayaks provided.
Shop or simply stroll down our historic Main Street where you can appreciate our many murals by incredible local artists, experience unique shops, and nostalgic entertainment including a family arcade, movie theater and candy store.
Enjoy the local breweries and wineries or take a family trip to the local bowling alley, skating rink, or Dinosaur Land. For wine lovers Fox Meadow is gorgeous and just 5 miles from the house. Or, stay home to take in the sunset from the rocking chair up on the hill.
Dine at our wide variety of memorable restaurants or pick up locally sourced produce from The Giving Tree; paired with locally sourced protein from Two Fat Butchers and enjoy a meal at home in our fully stocked kitchen.
Escape the busy city life with a short drive (along Route 66 or Route 81) to a home that has picturesque views of George Washington National Forrest or the Shenandoah Mountains from nearly every window. Curl up and read a book in front of the fire or in the tub.
Relax on the back porch to take in the natural beauty the Shenandoah Mountains have to offer including birds, butterflies, and mammals such as deer, foxes, and raccoons. In the evening, the night sky, with nearly zero light pollution, is perfect for stargazing and smore making. (Hot Tub coming soon!)

Guest access
Park around back for wheelchair/ramp/easy access to the main floor. The french doors open by keypad and automatically lock behind you. The combination will be included in your welcome package.

At this time, the neighboorhood and driveway is not paved - its gravel.
