The lighting in the room is inadequate, there is no closet or shelves for clothes and just 4 electrical outlets in the room very inconveniently places. "We’ve stayed here several times, location is lovely on the waterfront. Nice staff. The breakfast is wonderful and plentiful, the bar is nice, especially summertime. The rooms themselves are basic, pillows very flat, very thin towels, a very small glass for water. Absolutely nothing extra, nor even cosy, but comfortable enough to sleep. We’ve always had a water view, which is lovely. Our family lives walking distance from hotel, so it’s the location for us. "

"It is a bit old and worn-down, with lots of historic ambiance. The bed was very comfortable. Having more furniture to put our stuff on would have been nice. The breakfast buffet was five-star; I could easily see people staying there for breakfast alone. Perfect gravlax, many coldcuts, cheese, cereals, a great selection of bread, and one morning, there was even a specially baked chocolate cake!"

"The pictures do not do it justice. If you are from North America this will give you the ultimate cozy Scandinavian vibe. The lighting, candles even during breakfast, and room decor was such a welcome in the cold rainy days in October. It was bare bones with no conditioner, shampoo, hair dryer but still simple, cozy with warm people working there. The beautiful library is across the street and great to see. So quick and easy to the downtown centre. Centrally located. We loved our stay!!"

"We had an amazing stay! Beautiful hotel location on the water! Not much to do for kids and we came as a family stay. The spa/pool is definitely on the spa side and less kid friendly. This is the perfect place to go for a romantic getaway! Love that so many walk around in robs to go to spa and relax. Wish we went for that so never ended up using the spa/pool.
