Our mid-April stay at "The Deerling" was quiet and peaceful. Because the trees were not yet full, we were able to enjoy the view of the farm on the other side French Reeder. The turkeys and roosters with their morning rituals and the cattle lowing in the evening were a welcome change from our norm. Watching the deer up the ridge in the evening was enjoyable as well. Because there is much less town/city light saturation at the cabin, we were able to see more stars in the night sky than ever before -- just beautiful!
The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, and nicely done. The water pressure was a bit lacking as far as showering goes, but that's more an observation than a complaint. We really enjoyed having a full kitchen as other cabins we've visited did not afford that luxury. Overall, "The Deerling" was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives here lately. Much thanks to Cheryl and her family!
