"We spent 10 wonderful days at The Verandah Resort. I previously stayed here 11 years ago and have always wanted to return and we were not disappointed. The setting amongst 30 acres of lush tropical gardens is simply spectacular. The rooms are all semi detached villa suites set amongst the gardens. We booked a Waterfront Suite which gave amazing views over the bay. Sitting on the balcony in the early morning and evening watching the pelicans and other bird life were priceless times of the day. There is a good range of restaurants- our favourite was Portofinos with a delicious menu of Italian dishes cooked to perfection. The quieter Rasta beach was perfect for chilling under the palm trees and walking across the sand to the beach grill for cocktails and lovely grilled dishes. One of the highlights of our stay was a tour of the plant nursery by Charles, the head gardener. His knowledge and enthusiasm was amazing and I felt very privileged that he gave up his time to share his love of the gardens. The feature of The Verandah which tops all others are the amazing staff. They are friendly, always laughing and enthusiastic and nothing is too much bother. A special mention to the lovely Nicole in Portofinos, the staff at the beach grill and all the buggy drivers! We hope to come back soon. Truly a very, very special place in paradise!"

"Our apartment, the view from every room, the sound of the breeze flowing through the coconut and palm trees provided such a tranquil, peaceful, relaxing experience. Awakened to beautiful sun-rises glistening off the bay in the early morning, and mesmerized by the sun-sets in the evening. The beautiful beaches and turquoise waters added to the experience, as well as the great foods we enjoyed. It was topped-off to including our cook Anele who made a wonderful meal for our daughter's Birthday. One thing we regretted was that we were not closer to the city. Nevertheless, the tranquility and beauty was definitely what our bodies needed. Thank you, Peter, Pascale, and Anele."

"To begin, the entire experience from the moment upon arrival to leaving was entirely seamless. We were given a welcome drink and led to lunch as our room was prepared and by the time we were done everything was ready. The room was clean and they made sure to keep it that way by cleaning daily. My husband and I were visiting to celebrate our anniversary and we left feeling celebrated and taken care of. On the actual day of our anniversary, it’s as if it was communicated to the entire facility and they made sure to accommodate accordingly which made it feel even more special. We had also booked a spa service and as someone well versed in the industry (an esthetician myself) it was the best experience I’ve had. Very punctual with their service and the service from the staff was phenomenal. Everyone is super friendly and goes above and beyond!!!! My husband and I agreed it was the best massages we’ve ever had. The food was AMAZING. I was extremely confused to see mixed reviews about the food but I loved all the options especially Hunter Steakhouse. I saw that people experienced longer wait times but this was not my experience at all. There is a food truck and buffet if you’re looking to get faster food which was so nice! We were fortunate to be there while it was their Independence day as well and they made it such a fun celebration! As well as a buffet of their dishes that were delicious. Already planning to come back!!! Thank you :)"
