Nice little place!
"It is a nice little place steps away from the water. Short walk to the jetty and park. Only complaint is the driveway, the sand is soft and if you are in a small vehicle you might have trouble, my truck has no problems. Already looking to rebook the Surf Rider in coming months!!!"

I like Freeport it’s a close to mid sized town that’s still small enough to not get lost in the city mentality. People seem friendly. Lots of chemical plants, but hey this is Texas

Would not recommend Anchor Motel or Expedia unless you like being harassed, threatened and asked for drugs

Surrounded by industrial parks which really threw me off but at night the lights are actually pretty, the locals were all great (karaoke at Ken's on Saturday nights), walkable restaurants, and a large clean beach with plenty of space for all.
