"Very nice staff and rooms are always clean. Nice and safe environment. Just wish we had discounted rooms for the union workers that travel and work long hours. It’s a lot of us that would love to drive 5min from the job site other than 20min away and risk falling asleep on the road"

I like Freeport it’s a close to mid sized town that’s still small enough to not get lost in the city mentality. People seem friendly. Lots of chemical plants, but hey this is Texas

Would not recommend Anchor Motel or Expedia unless you like being harassed, threatened and asked for drugs

Surrounded by industrial parks which really threw me off but at night the lights are actually pretty, the locals were all great (karaoke at Ken's on Saturday nights), walkable restaurants, and a large clean beach with plenty of space for all.
