Welcome to your new beach vacation retreat where you can soak up the soak and relax on the deck with views of the beach.

Moondancer is a wonderful retreat for families with ample of space and lots to do.

The living area is a large and open with views out to the beach. The entry way has a game table, where you and your friends and family can gather and either play one of the games the owners have provided, or play one you have brought yourself. Located just to the side is the half bath, which is tucked under the stairs to the second level.

The living room has access to the deck where you can sit and relax watching the beautiful Surfside sunrises and sunsets with hot cup of coffee . Choose from Netflix or Amazon Prime for a relaxing night in with dinner and a movie. The dining room has a large custom made table which seats ten comfortably. There is a modern fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook at home.

There are 4 bedrooms, the Main bedroom being downstairs with a King sized bed, beyond that there is a retreat, which is used as the 4th bedroom which has a pyramid bunk twin over full bed. The retreat can be closed off with sliding doors and has an alternate access from the door that is located off the dining room.

Next to the main bedroom is a full bath with access to a washer and dryer.

Upstairs you will find the second bedroom with a Queen bed and TV. The second upstairs bedroom has two comfy queen beds and a twin. Both bedrooms have access to a full bathroom with a walk in shower.

A picnic table and extra seating is located under the house as well as a Charcoal grill (new july 2023/ BBQ pit, Fire pit and outdoor hot/cold shower.

The fun doesn’t stop there we also have a built in sandpit for your little ones to play in or play a family game of bean bag toss.


Surfside is a low key, laid back beach town on the Gulf of Mexico where everyone is welcome and your invited to walk the sandy beach, fish on the Jetty, swim and surf in the Gulf. In the evenings visit one of the many restaurants for fresh seafood or grill your own on the grill provided.

Moondancer has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break away from it all. This beautiful second row home is just steps from the pedestrian beach and one block from Jetty park.


Friendly reminders:
We market to families and groups of friends seeking to relax and enjoy the peace that only a true beach vacation can provide.
Our home is NOT available for parties or large crowds (including Prom/Graduation groups) .


Max guests the house sleeps 12 (10 Adults max) = max number of guests including day visitors (Adults & children) allowed on the property at any time.

Only registered guests allowed on the property. No Third party bookings, person booking needs to be staying for the duration of the stay. No Rv/campers as per city regulations.

Check in is 4pm - No Early Check in unless given prior approval

Hurricane/storm Policy - We strongly recommend purchasing Cancel for any reason travel insurance to protect you against the unexpected including Hurricane/storms and COVID and any other unforeseen circumstances, no refunds or moving dates will be issued outside of our cancellation policy.

Please note surfside city water is not potable, It is safe to bathe in and for laundry. We do have a water dispenser with 5 gallon jugs which can be refilled at city hall. Your welcome to bring your own too

We are located near the Gulf in Texas which can be very humid. Bugs are to be expected (mosquitoes, ants and palmetto bugs) even though we do spray our home regularly.

Property has a Security camera ont he drive and on the side of the house that record with movment. There is also a Blink camera in the front door which also records audio/movement at all times

Great family beach vacation
This was a perfect house for our 2-family vacation that included an infant, 3 toddlers, and 2 primary school aged kids. The distance from the beach was perfect and ample space for everyone inside. The kitchen is basic, but if you’re really into cooking you might want to bring your own essentials (eg sharp knife, etc). Thank you for a lovely vacation.

Mini-Family Reunion
We met our son and daughter and their families at the beach house. Just a short walk to the beach, which was perfect! Everyone enjoyed themselves and we (almost) had enough room for everyone. We barbecued, roasted marshmallows, and walked on the jetty. Great place to stay!!

Our family of 11 enjoyed this comfortable house with a large table for our meals and games, The master bed was very comfortable! The sand pit under the house made a great place to hangout in the shade. It would have been even better if the swing could be hung to face the sand pit play area.

The property was great and Kat was great to communicate with during our stay. The house is a 2 minute walk to the beach. The kids and adults all had plenty of space. The only thing is that the BBQ pit could be replaced. Otherwise, all positives from us. Highly recommend.

The Perfect Family Beach House
I would call Moondancer the perfect beach house! We had a small family reunion there and it was great for all ages. There was privacy for those needing to rest as well as a great room to gather and a large dining room table for eating together. There was even a game table so the kids didn’t have to pick up their games in mid play to be able to eat together. No matter the weather there was always something to do. Under the house was a large sand box complete with sand toys that our younger crew loved. If it was raining on the beach they could still build in the sand. There was corn hole that could be played there as well as a charcoal grill. In front of the deck, there was a nice fire pit where we made s’mores. My personal favorite was sitting out on the deck watching the ocean and my grandchildren playing on the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked and the cook can still see the ocean views. The beds were comfortable, and the A/C was great! The water is not potable for drinking or cooking, but there is a water dispenser that dispenses hot or cold water for everyone’s needs. Also bring mosquito repellant for those evenings there isn’t a breeze to keep the skeeters at bay. Thank you Kat, for a lovely holiday at Moondancer! We hope to return one day!

Fantastic Getaway!
OMG! We had a great time in Surfside during our stay @ Moondancer. Kat was great answering all of our questions about the property and what to expect during this time during Covid. The view was fantastic! Being able to see and hear the surf was very relaxing. Kat has everything you need for a memorable trip. Linens (sheets and towels) Smart TV’s in every room. Very easy to connect our Nintendo switch. Easily access your personal Amazon prime / Hulu / Netflix accounts. Antenna even picks up local channels. Very well appointed kitchen with a Keurig, toaster, dishwasher, and bottled water dispenser. She has plenty of dishes, cups, flatware, serving utensils, and knives. There is really no reason to bring anything but food for your stay. There is a very large sand pit where the kids can play, and she has a Cornhole set at the house, complete with the bean bags. The living room has a great sectional couch, with 2 fold out mattresses. Lots of board games, puzzles and books and magazines just right for a rainy day. I really have nothing negative to say about the property. It completely exceeded my expectations for sure. Hope to return next year!! Recommendations: You will need to bring ice or ice trays if you need ice in your drinks, and charcoal for the outdoor grill. Also, the location is very close to the beach so make sure you are prepared for mosquitoes, tiny crabs, heat, humidity and grassburs. None of these things negatively affected our enjoyment, but I hope the reminder will be helpful if you are travelling from out of state. Thanks again Kat, it was wonderful! -Bernie

Perfect family stay!
This house is super close to the pedestrian beach with a great patio. With smaller kids, it was more relaxing to stay where we didn’t need to worry about cars on the beach. Growing up close to surfside, we have stayed at many beach houses but this was definitely a favorite. Often the houses smell of mold and the tap water is yellow with an awful smell. The tap water here was so much better and the bottled water machine was a huge plus for drinking water. Kat was such a great host with prompt instructions and responses. Highly recommend this house and we plan to rent this location again!

The property was amazing more than we could have ever hoped for. The Host Kat, had to cancel our forst reservation and gave us an upgrade at the same price. We had a great overall stay, even right after Hurricane Beryl..there were a couple leaks, but the owner was right in it to get it fixed. They even offered to refund our stay if we wanted to cancel our trip. But we decided we wanted to stay and we are glad we did. The host was amazing!! This house was perfect for our family, including my 2 grandsons (11/2 and 3). It was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the beach from our second floor porch! This house was maybe a 30 second walk to Surside’s best beach for kiddos! The host was wonderful and extremely quick to answer. Other than a few very minor cosmetic things, the house was perfect! We really enjoyed our stay and loved the house was pet friendly! Would definitely recommend!

Great house thats practically right on the beach
This was a great house to stay to enjoy the beach. It had lots of beds and bathrooms as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The porch had lots of seating areas and the living room has a very large sectional couch and a huge table with benches for lots of people to gather around. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone that wants a great beach getaway. We had a wonderfully relaxing time! Thank you :)
