"We were devastated to arrive at this remote location to find that our booking had not been made. Fortunately I had the confirmation with me and the manager very kindly put us in a lovely big chalet. From there on our stay eas wonderful."

"I would highly recommend the Protea in Clarens. It has a contemporary feel and the rooms are comfortable. It is also very well situated to explore the small town. The only downside was the very noisy air conditioning unit. "

"The hotel was Okey however their parking I did not spot security, at night it's very noisy due to music from the salons and shops across the road. "

"This was my second stay here and the staff made the stay perfect. They were, pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and so accommodating. The room floors could do with a scrub as well as washing and tidying up the curtains. Other than that everything else was perfect. Washroom facilities were spot on but shower floor corners need a clean. What we took away...the beautiful staff. They are your best assets there. Then comes the views. Thank you Emma and Team"
