Glamping, off-grid adventure at our peace-friendly cabin on 10 acres all for you
This humble, but charming little off-grid cabin resides on ten acres ABOUT 11 MILES OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS for your enjoyment and privacy. Its quiet, restful surroundings--nature, not a subdivision--invite you to recharge, reflect, and explore. The off-grid aspect is especially memorable and adventurous with systems in place that provide amenities in creative ways but still extend the gift of unplugging, simplifying, and reconnecting with those you love. Enjoy the solitude, serenity, and simplicity of this sweet little spot in God's country while still being close to many of the biggest attractions of the area--the North Rim, Zion's, Bryce, etc. This rental was formerly a full-time off-grid residence and is equipped for every-day living.

Wonderful retreat, used this as a base to explore three National Parks. Loved being off grid and in the wilderness. Our host was friendly and welcoming and very easy to communicate with too.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at White Sage Solitude, such a fitting name! It is both rustic and quaint, exactly what we were hoping for. Our host, Kaitlin, met us at check in to go over the workings of the off-grid cabin. She was a delight, made sure we had everything we needed and offered up some local places to explore. The cabin was the perfect base camp for our outings to National Parks, including the North Rim and Zion, as well as some lesser known spots. Our last two days temps dropped significantly, the little wood stove kept us exceptionally warm and cozy. This was one of our favorite trips together and we look forward to returning one day. Thank you for your hospitality, Kaitlin!
What's a wonderful way to experience this part of the country. I really enjoyed glamping at this cabin with my family. Hostess was wonderful and showed us how to use everything. Thus was a great stay!
We enjoyed the quiet, beautiful stay this cabin provided! All of the amenities were easy to use and gave it a camping feel but just kept us warmer at night. Kaitlin is a great host and was so quick to answer any questions and concerns. We would definitely stay again!
The most wonderful off-grid experience. The wood stove made it the perfect cozy winter cabin. Kaitlin provided everything we needed: plenty of water, towels, cookware/ingredients, bedding, lanterns, and more. It was such a comfortable, amazing experience. Would love to go back!
We had a wonderful time in this quaint off-grid cabin! Kaitlin is wonderful and we had everything we needed. She gave us good recommendations for restaurants and groceries. Nighttime was so quiet and peaceful and you can go outside and see millions of stars in the dark sky! We went to the tourist things during the day and spent nights puzzling, reading, playing checkers and grilling. If you're looking to simplify and unwind this is the place!
This is a darling, off the grid, little cottage. The stars were spectacular. It was hot during our visit & we were pretty warm at night without A/C. Just expect it to be sort of like camping.
Wonderful communication with Kaitlin. The place is a hidden gem & we definitely recommend!

Book if you understand what Glamping is.
This property is at a very remote location and staying at this property is more like camping. If you understand what Glamping is and you are ok without electricity to power your laptop or running water and enjoy the stars, then this is for you. Property manager Kaitlin is very responsive and helpful.
Off-grid is not for everyone but for those of us who love it, this was a gem! It reminded me of cabins when I was a kid in the 80's; everything you need with none of the extras. I brought a very senior dog with me and the trails were heaven for her. We were able to do daily "hikes" that were her speed. My young dog was able to explore and even built the owners their very own stick collection. Kaitlin and her husband have created a unique little paradise with all the essentials.
After many years of wilderness & remote tent camping we decided to upgrade to something more comfortable & secure. Good choice since the weather was very wet & cool even for March! The wood stove kept us warm & our Rhodesian Ridgeback appreciated the cozy cabin. Carefully read the property details & reviews & you will not be disappointed. Kaitlin was easy to communicate with & very helpful with local advice.
The quiet and the Beauty of the desert were mesmerizing! The quaint cabin with modern conveniences via hand pumps, composting toilet and a propane stove and oven were fun! Sleeping with the windows open and having total silence besides the crickets, was like camping in luxury!
The only downside was that it was so far away from the canyons. But the drives were beautiful!
this is a beautiful spot for a couple who enjoys a rustic getaway. Well-equipped and well thought out "off-grid" creature comforts. Easy driving to all of the amazing "must-see" spots of south-central Utah and the Arizona strip. The stars at night were amazing. My only reservation was with the propane stove, which really should only be used with the windows open. Not a problem while we enjoyed beautiful sunshine every day, but...
This was a cute little cabin away from it all. We brought our two dogs for a weekend hiking trip (bring a bed for them since it's a tile floor). Even just walking the nearby dirt roads was beautiful. There are a few hiking trails up the main road to the cabin that we did as well. It was interesting to stay in an off the grid cabin. You really start to see how much waste and water you use per day without really thinking about it. If you're looking for an eccofriendly trip, I'd recommend this place. It was quiet, with a night sky full of stars.
Absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend it. It is truly private and very serene. It was our first time off grid and we fell in love with off-grid living. The simplicity was very renewing. The hosts were great and explained everything we needed to know to stay there comfortably. The only reason why some points were docked is for accuracy of listing- the outdoor gym is too weathered to safely use and would be better removed from the property and the AC had been removed (our stay was completely comfortable without it, going in April, but we just noticed that that was an inconsistency in the listing).
If you're looking for a luxurious vacation, this would not be a good fit! BUT if you're looking for a radically immersive nature experience and clean living, this is perfect. We look forward to staying again in the future!
This cabin is very cute and cozy, it is about 12 miles out from the nearest town but has beautiful views. We went in the winter and it was truly freezing (12 degrees) when we arrived but the nice wood burning stove warms up the place pretty well. It is solar powered and rain collection for the water as this place is completely off the grid. Be prepared to learn how to adapt to your environment but if this sounds fun for you, you’ll have a great time. Kaitlyn and her husband were very helpful and hospitable. Northern Az is truly a beautiful and different place.
A lovely little "eco-stay" cabin, with a solar system, composting toilet, hand pump well, and a rainwater harvesting system. All things that were a delight! Stayed there with my wife, 8yo daughter, and dog, and was just enough space for us. We used it as a base camp to go visit the surrounding national parks, and was a great fit. Directions given were clear, and we found the cabin easily, despite it being relatively far off a paved road. Host was excellent, and made sure we had everything we needed. The new swamp-cooler was much appreciated (as it does get pretty hot in the summer, but that wasn't a surprise). Would recommend as the alternative to a boring hotel/motel option! -S
To be Off Grid one must be unconnected. Which you are. Cell reception was spotty but the idea is to get away. It’s a 15 or so mile drive to Fredonia with not much in between. If you’re familiar with tent camping then the amenities won’t bother you. The toilet and shower set up work well. Just need patience when warming the shower water on the propane camp stove. Solar fridge/freezer is plenty big. Trips to the North Rim of Grand Canyon, Zion Nat Park and Grand Staircase Escalante Monument were awesome. Give yourself time to drive to each. Kaitlin is a very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful host.
Enjoy your experience.
Loved this property, wish I’d had longer to enjoy it. I was initially a little afraid alone out there; it is remote with an air of neglect. But the locks seemed sturdy, the linens were clean, there was ample space, it was cool and quiet. my intent was to glamp. Worst things I encountered all week were little stickers on the paths near the house and crickets in the shower. The climb to the throne and loft require balance and strength. You need to be smarter than the average valve, so get instructions. I would rent again and for a longer stay. The grounds are a beautiful example of what I came here for. Please be respectful, learn about the desert biocrust and preserve the beauty.
Amazing host, my only thing is the check time was a little too late in the day for our personal liking. It’s a nice space and property if you have pets, just be cautious with your pets as there are lots of stickers. If you like remote off grid spaces then this is a great place and such a kind and friendly host 😎 great off-road trails nearby
A great home base for exploring Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. So much to see in this area! The cabin was exactly as described and pictured. Have a camping mindset, but of course with tons of amenities (Glamping?). It was secluded but close enough to everything we wanted to explore. Stars at night were amazing. Kaitlin our host was great a communicating with us. We had a great time!
