"I have been coming to The Cottages for 10 years, and it feels like a warm hug every time I visit. What could be better than waking up and walking out your cottage door, and the ocean is in front of you!! You are surrounded by lush greenery, and turtles lay their eggs on the beach so that you might see tiny turtle footprints leading to the ocean. The nights are spectacular for seeing the stars, and I have taken beautiful shots of the constellations. Honesty, no words do this place justice; see for yourself the magic at The Cottages by the Sea"

"Beautiful, somewhat remote location nestled on Cane Bay. No frills but nice rooms with gorgeous ocean views. Close to Cane Bay Beach, Mimi and Johnny’s snack shack and the Landing Restaurant. Alma on the property is also an excellent restaurant offering amazing seafood and cocktails. Perfect for a quiet getaway or chill beach vacation. If you’re looking for more of a resort feel the Buccaneer may be a better option. "

"Manager and staff are friendly and helpful. Great room: nice decor, comfortable bed and linens, nice kitchenette. Could hear street activities but 10p quiet time respected by those outside and inside hotel. They even have a community kitchen w/ a full size oven and stove top, sink, microwave, and full size fridge. They had utensils, pans, and a dish drainer and dust soap, herbs, salt/pepper. Wait there’s more. They have a coin operated washing machine, and dryer. The office has snacks, candy, beer, wine and clothes washing soap at reasonable prices. They even had plenty of quarters to dole out! Definitely recommend and plan to come back!"

"We had a quick one night stay before our rental was ready. You cannot beat the location, our room was beautiful and updated. Access to room required carrying suitcases up a not-so-short flight of stairs, not a problem for us yet be aware. Free parking on street and $25 parking fee to use the hotels lot which is accessed by an one car alley easy to miss as you drive by but it's there. A rooster 'owns' the alley and made sure we were aware of him that morning ;-) Staff was very friendly and welcoming and we were greeted with a welcome cocktail! Room had mini fridge and a small microwave. No coffee pot in room yet great coffee shop/bakery just down stairs had all thst we could want."
