"Haus In Schwarz" or House in Black is a newly renovated and remodeled cottage home built for entertainment! This bohemian themed home is located just in between E Hwy St. and Friendship Lane as you enter Fredericksburg! A fantastic location if you're looking for a quick trip out to the plethora of Hill Country wineries, but also want to remain close to everything Main St. has to offer!
The Space:
"Haus In Schwarz" is German for House in Black. Named after an art installation by Eric Sturm...our goal was to create a unique, open concept property that our guests could enjoy and entertain larger groups at while visiting Fredericksburg. Perfect for bachelorette party's or larger family gatherings!
There are 3 bedrooms inside the main house. Bedroom #1 and #2 are down the hallway next to the living room. Bedroom #1 has 1 Queen Bed and Bedroom #2 has 2 Queen Beds. The Master bedroom on the opposite side of the house has 1 King Bed.
Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire home and lot including the back patio, pool, and hot tub. Additional parking is also available in the back. You just have to enter the back alley behind the house and open the gate. Only spots that will remain locked are the storage shed directly out back where we keep supplies. You will receive instructions on how to access the property upon booking! If you have any questions just let us know!

By Bike:

Several bike rental shops are available downtown if you don't bring your own.

If you’re interested in exploring beyond Fredericksburg, Austin is about 1.5 hours away, and San Antonio is around a 1.5 to 2-hour drive, both making for great day trips.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that the pool outside is a wading pool. Its lined partially with concrete in some area's, rocks, and water tarp. You should not expect this to look like a normal pool with a colored bottom. We have a cleaner and check the ph after each guest to make sure it is safe and comfortable to get in. But some algae growth, sand, etc. is to be expected.
