Looking for a spacious cottage to call home on your next trip to Fredericksburg? You've found it in Holly's Haus, a delightful two-bedroom, two-bath completely private cottage in one of Fredericksburg's most venerable old neighborhoods. This adorable gingerbread cottage is just a few blocks from Main Street but far enough from the crowds of Main Street to take you back to a more peaceful time. You will first be greeted by a charming wrap-around porch which is the perfect place for passing the time on the porch swing and returning to a simpler time. The owners even leave two bicycles in the back yard, should you get the urge to take a ride around the quaint neighborhood. Perhaps you will also take advantage of the outdoor patio seating, an ideal setting for a light meal and some relaxing conversation. And of course you'll want to soak away your cares in the luxury of Holly's new private hot tub!
As you step inside you notice that the home offers not one but two comfortable living areas, as well as a full galley kitchen, complete with range, dishwasher, microwave and side-by-side refrigerator. The kitchen is just perfect for making a special meal to serve in the elegant red toile dining room. Or perhaps you'll just want to pop some popcorn and put up your feet to catch a movie or read a good book in the cozy den.
Holly's Haus is one of the few vacation rentals to offer two bedrooms, each with its own private bath. One bedroom is outfitted in cheery butter yellow and boasts an elegant king size bed with tufted headboard, a romantic vanity and, of course a TV in case you decide to catch a movie or the big game. The second bedroom includes another king size bed with beautiful bedding and soothing mint green walls. Each bedroom has its own private bath, one with a tub/shower and one with a shower only. Holly's Haus is the perfect place for a romantic, peaceful getaway just for the two of you. Or take advantage of the second bedroom and bath which make this an ideal retreat for two couples, a girls getaway or, well...you name it! You just can't go wrong making Holly's Haus your little piece of Hill Country heaven!

Pet Friendly ( $45 per night per pet | Max 2 pets)

- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Get place for two couples
Our stay was great. The neighborhood was quiet. The bedrooms were separate so each couple had privacy. Plenty of room to not feel cramped with 4 people.

Met my daughter and family for a quick visit. Shopped Main Street and some “off Main shops”. SO much fun!!! Texas Sunrise and Otto were our fav restaurants!! So accommodating and delicious! Cottage as described, peaceful, and hot tub was a PLUS! Accommodations perfect!!

This was a great place to stay in Fredericksburg! The owner provided orange juice, milk, bananas, cereal boxes, pastries AND a bottle of wine! It was a very comfortable place (the only complaint was a mattress that sunk a little in the middle and an old foggy mirror in one bathroom).

The house was old, dusty, and dressing was uncomfortable. The shower was tiny. Driving through the driveway was dangerous due to the huge tree in the way of vehicles. It would be nice if there were handicap rails to hold onto throughout the home.

Retreat & Spiritual Family Reunion
We spent most time at St Mary’s Church and the home of our leaders the Sisters of the Apostles of the Interior Life. We shared meals together took hikes together, prayed and played games. Had a fire and made s’mores one night at the Sisters home. We had a great time. Enjoyed having the hot tub at Holly Haus.

We were very disappointed in the overall condition of the house. The house was cute but not well maintained. The ceilings had water spots where they had leaked. The front porch was extremely dirty and probably had never been cleaned. The house itself was not clean.

Stayed here with my daughter and sister in law. This charming little Haus sits in a quiet neighborhood on a nice size lot. The owners went above and beyond to make this rental so welcoming. We arrived late evening and the fridge was stocked with everything needed to start our first night. The beds are comfortable. The Haus is well supplied with everything you need to eat in. Owners responded quickly when we had a question. Will surely rent again.

Older cute home about 1 mile north of downtown. Walkable to shopping on Main Street, but a bit cluttered with old furniture. Bed was a bit too soft and bathrooms could use some updating, but it was clean and well taken care of. Fridge was stocked with water, soda, coffee and juice. Hot tub was nice but small. Was fine for the 3 of us, but not a lot of room for more than 2 couples.

Cute House, Quiet Neighborhood Close To Downtown
I stayed at Holly's Haus with my friend a year or two ago. It was a perfect floor plan for two people. I decided to work from Fredericksburg for a little over a week, and decided to stay here again. There is a bit of a difference when you stay a few days and are out and about, and a week when you are in the house more time. The porch is delightful! I had coffee and lunch there every morning. The neighborhood is quiet. The kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc. is well-stocked. The decor is just what you want to feel in Fburg! My only suggestion is that they consider updating the mattresses and pillows, along with a number of wood chairs in the dining area. It was hard to find a comfortable chair to sit in these areas, and I lifted one and the legs fell out of the joint.

Place was dirty and as dusty as can be. Taking a shower, water was up to my shins.
Owner made it right by getting a plumber out within an hour to fix the issue on a Sunday. The thought of having to pay cleaning fee to walk into a pit of an house is beyond my comprehension. Other than that , IMHO- a dump cheap placevto stay in. Pictures are very misleading. Mattresses are like sleeping on concrete. Will not ever consider this VRBO again.

We did have a good stay just a few things need attention. The mattress on the bed in the front bedroom needs replacing. It is shaped like bowl and is very very uncomfortable. The sting lights over the hottub had many lights burned out or missing. The security light on the back patio would not stay on longer than a few seconds. So we could not leave it on to see to the door when we returned. It rained most of the night one night and there was water on the kitchen counter and a large wet spot on the kitchen rug by the refrigerator. We could ot figure where it came from. The second night there was water on the wood floor in front of the back door and it is coming in around the door the side where the hinges are. It was a quiet house and neighborhood, and we enjoyed it. I just wish we could have slept better on the bad mattress. Thanks,Glenda

The house was cute as could be no problem there. The problem was it was not clean, the front porch was absolutely filthy and obviously had not been swept or washed down in quite a long time. Our freshly groomed white dogs were grey when we left due to the dirt on the front porch. We only let them on the porch one evening to be with us because of the dirt. Old coffee grounds and filter were still in Mr. Coffee pot. Obvious old dust on several pieces of furniture throughout house. Bathroom base boards were very dirty and shower curtain in back bedroom was molded and gross looking. But, the absolute worst was the gosh awful front bedroom bed. I have no idea what caused such loud noise every time you sat down on edge of bed or turned over. Never have I heard anything like it. Terrible nights sleep due to the racket it made with the slightest movement. Again, loved the house but it was certainly a disappointment as to upkeep. We have stayed in MANY B&B's over the years and never encountered such poorly maintained property.

Quaint and Cozy Home Close to Main St
The home was quaint and cozy and my family felt instantly comfortable. We brought along our two Frenchies who typically hate traveling, but they too felt instantly comfortable. We liked that we were able to close off the driveway with the cattle wire and that the dogs had the run of the whole property. My dogs were able to locate one hole in the fence right off the driveway, but the rest of the fencing is secure. The beds were comfortable enough for a restful sleep. The home was well stocked and had just about everything one could need, with the exception of a broom/mop or vacuum, or access to laundry. There were plenty of linens throughout the home. Having coffee in the morning on the porch and reading were some of my favorite moments at this house. Overall, this home is an excellent choice if you're looking for a charming, historical home near Main St, in a safe and quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors! It was definitely our home away from home!

Cottage Gem close to town
Such a lovely period cottage with all the antiques and décor in place. The location was close to town and easily within about a 15 min walk but driving and parking closer was easy as well. The cottage had everything we needed and communication was prompt. We loved our stay and appreciated staying in the blast from the past!!

Charming little house
We had a great time at Holly’s haus! It was our first visit to Fredericksburg, and I wanted the complete experience. The house, built in the 1920s, looked even older due to its decor and vibe. Unfortunately, we didn't experience any ghosts, which was a good and bad thing. Lol. The beds were comfortable. The only issue we encountered was the TV; it didn't work the first night because the instructions said not to turn the system on and off. We followed the instructions, but I tried turning the system on and off the next day, and the TV worked. The house was a bit farther from Main Street than expected, but overall, it was a wonderful experience.
