Great location, comfortable rooms, good food, and most importantly amazing staff that always go the extra mile to make your stay a special one. Special thanks go to Mr. José Mendez who always makes sure that all guests are having a wonderful time. "We spent a wonderful week in this lovely villa in August. Very well equipped and comfortable, and in a great location to explore the area - but note the roads are very windy and hilly so it can take a while to get places! The swimming pool is great with a fantastic view, and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the river. The owner Maria gave us some good tips on places to visit and made us very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality :)"

"Great location and accommodation however need more drawers and cupboards for clothes in main house - we had to live out of suitcases. Beds very comfortable but not enough easy chairs in main room."

"Lovely spacious villa with plenty of room for 10-12 people, and lots of dining and sitting space inside, and outdoor space. It was very warm during our stay, and as the villa doesn't have air conditioning it did get warm inside. Some more fans would be useful, as opening windows does increase outside noise. "The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We were 8 adults two children and one small dog in total. While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs. "We had a wonderful time at Margarida’s place-she’s truly thought of everything! We were a group of 10 family members including a baby, 6 year old and 11 and 14 year old. We all felt we had our own privacy and there were lots of places to eat and chill out around the property. The photos do not do this place justice! Margarida was a wonderful host and was on hand on the phone if we needed her but allowed us our privacy at the same time. We would love to return!"

"We had a lovely time staying in this villa. The location is peaceful and quiet. Having a car is recommended to get about to places like Guimareas or Braga and the pool could be much deeper but other than that, we had an amazing experience! The host has superb communication and will help with whatever issues that may occur. The wine from their vineyard (Rosé and White) is very nice. I highly recommend."

Leider war das Apartment an vielen Stellen mit schwarzem Schimmel belastet, was man auch riechen konnte. "Great property exactly as described, and the setting and views were just the best! The local town 20 mins drive on the river is Amarante and it stole our hearts. The drive straight down the mountain to a slightly closer town Celorico de Basto is not for the faint hearted, and was not repeated. The TV was in French which was a bonus as we don't speak Portugese. "We stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful old house, view of water below was so lovely. Enjoyed the pool but it was a little late in the year so it was just a little cold for us at our age. We still did get into it twice. Kitchen had all the pots and utensils we needed. We would love to stay here again when in Portugal."

"Staff on site from 8am to 23hish, which covers most check in hours. They have another hotel building just steps away in case you have any other needs at other hours. The room was spacious, spotless and newly furnished. Kitchen was essentially fully equipped. No washer/dryer in the unit but that depends on your needs. Twins beds were comfortable. Bedding for the sofa bed was clean and comfortable as well. Housekeeping every 2 days is included. The shower gel dispenser was empty when we checked in...

"The staff is very nice and attentive. The breakfast offering was good, as well. Our room was nice and very clean. This hotel’s location is close to a lot on venues: shopping, restaurants/bars, coffee shops, historic sites. It’s also a very walkable location to all."
