An amazing relaxing stay
We just needed to unplug for a few days, so we book this location on the lake. Wow it was setup amazing. It had it all, view, quiet and awesome location. If I could own a lake house, this would be the one.

FABULOUS!
I have nothing but great things to say about this vacation home! It is comfortable, CLEAN, spacious and has an incredible VIEW!We only got to stay two nights, but will come back for a longer stay in the future.The owners live right next door and are so kind and helpful.The back porch is amazing and this house is literally steps from the water.

The overall property was as advertised. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay. I did overlook there was no washer/dryer. But we still had a great stay. It’s well stocked with anything you need to cook including gas/charcoal grills. Kids enjoyed all the games.

Lake vacation
Four days of endless water play and kayaking. Followed by grilled dinners and a final gathering around the fire pit. The weather was perfect and so was the water. The owner provided many amenities making our stay so much fun and so comfortable.

Family getaway
My adult children and spouses (8 of us) all enjoyed this retreat. The communication with Jerry was great. Our check in and stay and leaving was effortless. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and paper products for me to cook and entertain all of us while we stayed. We caught bass and catfish from the bank and there’s a sweet spot where you can walk into the lake and float without encountering rocks. We would stay here again. The lake view is gorgeous.

Perfect Family Getaway
This was a Holiday Family Getaway with kids & grandkids! This is a big home with plenty of family room. The home is on Lake Palestine and the living room/kitchen open space has two large windows to enjoy the amazing views! Jerry and Joyce had a Christmas Tree which was perfect because we went for Holiday/Polar Express with grandkids. You are close to Palestine & Tyler( Has the best Zoo!) The beautiful home has every amenity to make you comfortable! We have already made plans to return!! Thank you Jerry & Joyce( a lovely sweet couple) .

Labor Day Weekend Getaway
We were looking for a weekend get away to the lake with friends, and this property was perfect for our needs! The owners live next door, making check in and check out super easy. The home is a brand new property, unbelievably clean and well stocked with all your needed amenities in the kitchen and living room. They even have a pack n play and high chair if you need one. The rooms are spacious, and the living/dining kitchen area is much bigger than the photos appear. They have a gorgeous view of the lake, and if you are up in time the sunrise is outstanding! Our kids made great use of the kayaks as well as fishing from shore. We were very surprised the lake wasn’t more busy, but glad for the quiet none the less. We plan on coming back. The drive isnt bad from the DFW area, and Frankston is a few minutes away with a convenient grocery store.

Husbands 75th Birthday Celebration
We stay in VRBOS about 3 times a year to celebrate special occasions. We like to stay on the water. This place is the best we have ever stayed in. Even though the hosts are on sight, they are awesome and you won't even know they are there. The house has all brand new features. The bedrooms are near the entrance, withe the kitchen, living area in the back facing the water. There are 6 huge windows that overlook the water, which is 20 steps away. The living area is open, and no unnecessary furnishings to step around. You can fish, swim, kayak, or just enjoy the view. There is an awesome winery in Chandler, shops in Tyler, and a place to eat at the Lake Palestine resort. The host is a woodworker and has even made some of the house furnishings. The only issues, which are easily resolved are: 1. Depending on time of year, bring your mosquito repellent. 2. For the elderly, the bed in the guest bedroom and the bath in the guest bath is a little high. There is no handicap bar in the guest bathroom. There is a step stool for the guest bedroom and you can use it for the bathroom. We old folks just showered in the beautiful primary bathroom. We will definitely find another milestone to celebrate at this place again.

Hard to find but a great stay
The place was clean, very accomidating, kids liked fishing from the bank and the inside activities that were provided. Only complaint would be no hair dryer, and didnt realize no washer/dryer and parking alittle tight for a boat, otherwise great place beautiful view

On the lake
The owner had so many amenities and so many supplies!! It was amazing. One thing they forgot was small shampoos and conditioner. Also, body wash. And there was no hair dryer. So be sure to bring your own!! The mattress in the king bed was very soft and worn. But other than that, the kayaks were great and there was plenty of wood for a fire in the evening. There was both a charcoal and a propane grill. Such a great place.

Perfect for a Family Thanksgiving Retreat
We had a fantastic stay. The long (quarter mile) winding driving taking you to the lake at through oaks and pine set the mood even before we glimpsed the water. As soon as we arrived, Joyce met us and made us feel welcome. My kids loved her two dogs, particularly Kelly, who would wait for us in the morning and accompany my kids as they roamed the property. The guests included my husband and myself (in the king room), my two children (5 and 3), who stayed in the room with the two singles, and my mother in law, who stayed in the full. I loved that my room and the kids room had no windows, so we slept long and deep! The large game room was so welcoming, and my kids immediately gravitated to the toy corner, which had dolls, a baby carriage (which my daughter pushed all over the property), and tons of blocks and toys. This kept the kiddos occupied while we unpacked. Joyce showed us where everything was, the fire pit, the wood, kindling, charcoal, and various water toys should we decide to kayak into the lake. Inside everything was decorated for fall with pumpkins and cornucopias, and really set us into the holiday mood, and after that we didn't see Joyce or Jerry unless we were up at the swing set by their porch. I had read the reviews and knew that I could potentially hear them walking around upstairs, and it didn't bother me at all. I have kids, so I am not used to silence! There was a market, Spring Market, that we frequented in town that had everything you could need last minute. We had actually planned to go into Tyler, but the weather was so fine, the kids had such a blast roaming around the property. Because there is no dock (although very photogenic remnants of one) and we were so far from the road, I didn't have to keep an eye on my kids the whole time and gave them the freedom to explore on their own. The kitchen was well stocked, and I am certain that if there was something that I needed, I could have bothered Joyce for it upstairs. The lake was just beautiful, and the views, even on a cold day, would have kept me in a great mood. We didn't ever start a fire because the weather was so unseasonably warm, but we could have done so outside or in the inside chimney. I would love to go back. It was like we were in our own home, yet had some friendly pets and the property managers upstairs in case anything went wrong or we had a questions. A steal of a deal and filled with happy fond memories.
