Nestled in Cowee Township, just outside of Franklin, this two-bedroom retreat boasts a quiet sanctuary in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, featuring wooded views and a gentle, babbling brook running nearby. Take in the sights from the fully covered deck and lower terrace or meander the property with 2+ acres of walking trails to explore. In the evenings gather around the wood-burning firepit for starlight entertainment.

Enjoy family movie nights beside the fireplace in the main floor living room or head downstairs for some friendly competition with a few rounds of pool. We had a wonderful experience We stayed 7 days, the cabin was clean and inviting, well stocked kitchen, the cabin is roomy and beautifully decorated with a rustic theme. Date vacay with the wife!
This cabin was perfect for us. The porch is very nice to sit on in the morning while drinking coffee reading and listening to the birds. The grill cooked some great ribeyes, and the pool table was great to play on. I would look at staying here again. The cabin was very clean and well kept!

Very pleasant place
Loved the location, enjoyed the porch with the cool temperatures and listening to the creek below. Cleaned up the hummingbird feeder and made some feed for them and seen several enjoying it. The cabin was mostly clean, some areas needed a little bit more cleaning such as cobwebs and bathtub in upstairs bath wasn't clean. And the porches needed to be maintained a little better. But regardless of this we enjoyed the stay.

Absolutely Amazing!! A Must See and Stay!
This home is beautiful! It has all the bells and whistles. There are also extra kitchen items added for guest experience. The pool table is just what our family needed as well. Playing pool before going to bed and as soon as we woke up. Love this place and will definitely stay again! Thank you for an amazing trip and home!

Cabin is about 20 minutes from town, very nice area, you can hear the creek running across the road. Nicely furnished, beds very comfortable. We did have an issue with the shower randomly cutting off with no warning! All in all a great place to stay

Gorgeous Gem
As we approached the home we had the pleasure of driving out to a more quiet area of the countryside. The Brook near the backyard was so pleasing to hear. The home was exquisite. Gorgeous log home, neighbors not too close, bi level. We had so much fun playing pool with each other. The only complaint was we weren't able to stay longer. I'd highly recommend this to anyone. Quite, semi secluded, perfectly dressed to make you feel at home.

Quiet and beautiful
Super clean and a great place to stay. It's off the beat path but worth it. It's quiet with just nature. Occasional barking dogs. Nothing close by and the closest place to buy something is a gas station 15 minutes away. Suggest brining a cooler with food.

Nice spot away from everything
If you're looking for a space that's away from everything, this is the spot for you. The night sky is in full view, the noise is minimal, and the location is close enough to Franklin (about 35 minutes) and Bryson City (about 45 minutes) that you can get there in a reasonable amount of time yet far enough away that you don't have to deal with road noise and lots of traffic. The stove is gas (very nice), the beds work well enough, and the double level porch is a great place to hang out; it's a great place for quiet reflection time. My kids loved playing the video games I grew up on as there is a modern retro Nintendo system with a ton of old games loaded into it. We all got drawn in to some intense rounds of pool (go for the right corner pocket). The couches were comfy, and we loved watching a little TV at the end of the night. We loved Heaven in the Hills!

Great mountain rental
Great stay at this extra nice mountain house. Much more attention needs to be given to entrance and departure instructions including directions (google maps will attempt to take you through a gated community coming from Sylva) gaining access ( key pad is blacked out until you awaken it) Wi-Fi at property is nonexistent- was only able to access in the wee hours of morning so communication is not available as cell service is also not available. Check out instructions also not given unless you consider the email the management company sends you which you can’t access due to the Wi-Fi issue. House was very clean with lots of attention given to amenities and details which we enjoyed Hoping they are able to address Wi-Fi and thinking he rest will be easy fixes. Wonderful rental for a small group.

Loved the area and the cabin has huge potential but needed cleaning, more lighting - the front and one side had not one porch light, make sure everything works and is as advertised. Expectations were not met and could have been salvaged a bit if Vacasa would have responded and did what they said they would do. We won’t rent through Vacasa again simply for the lack or reply, nothing done about any / all reported as soon as we arrived, and the complacency of how the home is cared with.

Terrible Stay!
The cabin was not cleaned yet upon our contracted arrival time. Cleaning crew arrived later stating they were late because of cleaning other cabins. We sat out in our car while the cabin was supposedly cleaned. Contact with VACASA was usless. Speaking to a foreigner in another contry that spoke poor English about a problem in NC is usless. They did nothing but say they would report it to the local team who would contact us about any issues. They knew nothing about refunds or even when someone local would contact us. We secifally asked cleaners to clean off the decks since they were covered with debris. After they left, we discovered that they only cleaned the top deck. There were live spiders and multiple webs throughout the house.the downstairs toliet had black stains/mold around the base of it. The storm door window had multiple dead bugs traped in the glass. The blanket on the downstairs bed was not washed but just folded and placed on the bed where we observed it had been used by prior guest on our arrival. Mutiple light fixtures in the house did not work, were missing, or had burnt out bulbs. This cabin has a queen bed, a king bed, and a twin bed. There is only one real bed room having a closet and a door for privacy. The downstairs bedroom(s) have no closets and none of the bedrooms have any storage for clothing in the way of a dresser. The one bedroom with a closet, had no hangers. TV internet and dish were impossible to watch. It froze up every 5 minutes. We never rec

Home sweet home.
We felt right at home here. It had everything we needed. And was the prefectly located for what we were doing. We would definition stay again. But if you have a dog, going up and down the hill to have them use the bathroom was not ideal. Especially if you have an older dog. The awesome fire pit area was down there as well. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect house for our stay. Enjoyed the secludedness and amenities that this house offered. The pool table became the gathering spot, especially considering there was absolutely no WiFi during the day, which was fine for us overall, but definitely made it inconvenient when trying to look up things to do or on our rainy day. Loved being able to walk outside to only the sound of the creek flowing across the street. Loved sitting on the porch every morning and being able to see deers on the hill to the right outside the living room sliding door. Fire pit having a light was absolutely amazing. If you’re all about spending some time with family it is the perfect place.

Great House
Heaven on the Hill was a great house for what my group of 4 needed. Everything was clean and exactly as pictured. Some small things to note: cell coverage is spotty and wifi is a bit slow (~5mbps) which is typical for the area, and the fridge didn't have a water dispenser, so make sure to bring bottled water if you don't prefer tap. Overall, our stay was pleasant and I definitely would recommend it to others!
