This is an awesome place to stay and was very close to some great hiking. It is in a peaceful location and there wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't provided...even for our dogs. The beds and linens were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We hope to visit again in the warmer weather and be able to enjoy the outdoor area.
The house had all the comforts, cozy bed, internet worked well, and the outdoor amenities were well done.
So peaceful and after dark the stars were beautiful.
We will definitely be coming back.
Centrally located for exploring towns, hiking and lakes. In the country, which we absolutely loved. Very quiet and peaceful. Hosts were great to work with and quick to respond. Nice outdoor space and the property had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful stay. The home was perfect for us.
Great location for hiking and enjoying nature. Beautiful scenery, neighbors very friendly and the town is lovely. Matt was a wonderful host, very responsive and flexible.
We will definitely come again!!
I met up with a friend walking the AT. It was a perfect little getaway and a beautiful nights’ sleep for both of us! The space is tucked away but easy to find. Very clean and well-appropriated. The hosts are exceptionally responsive and helpful! I will definitely be returning.
Went with my girlfriend for her birthday just to get away and have some peace and quiet. Was very accommodating, clean, nicely isolated. We enjoyed the hike around the property and the night out at the fire pit. Most likely going to repeat this trip annually! Very well enjoyed mini-vacation. Would enjoy an overhead map of property lines and hiking areas
The place is very clean, on a very nice lot and was well stocked. The problems are not much lighting and what it does have is mainly overhead. Add some lamps. There is ZERO light over the stove which makes it hard to cook when it is dark outside. It also needs more seating. Only 1 couch and 1 chair. It also needs a covered outdoor area for light rain but you still want to be outside.
I would stay there again if the updates were made.
A true gem nestled near the Appalachian Trail perfect for family time in mountain country. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy time together: modern kitchen entities for home cooked meals with a beautiful and relaxing outdoor space that included plenty of comfortable seating, gas grill, lighted patio with a firepit and a covered hammock and swing area with a smoker. When we were ready to venture out, we had our choice of two nearby towns, trails and abundant scenery. Matt & Katie were responsive to amy and all questions though few were asked as they anticipated visitors' needs. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful stay as always! Matt is so responsive, and very accommodating. The home has everything you need, enjoyed the upgrades well!! Very clean, and perfect condition.
We will be back to stay again when we visit Franklin, NC!! Thank you!!
