"So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future."

"We’ve stayed in many VRBO places and this is my very favorite. Hated to leave. Loved the creek running right by the house and spent a lot of time enjoying it. Home is beautifully decorated, well stocked, easy to get into Franklin. Didn’t have a chance to use the fire circles as the weather didn’t cooperate on the day we were free. Nice hike at Rufus Morgan trail and gorgeous views at Wayah Bald and tower. Kathy was very responsive to any questions. Hope to return some day "

"From the moment you walk onto the porch to get into this house the view overwhelms you. From the fog settling in the mountains below in the morning to the stars at night you never get tired of the view. We were there to hike and the only problem we had was trying to decide which trail to take. There are restaurants in nearby Franklin and Bryson City but we decided to grill in and enjoy the deck and fire table. There is also a great fire pit. You will never regret choosing this house.
