"Staying in and among buildings in a village settled in 1067, clinging to a steep mountain wall, seemed to connect us deeply to the history and geography of South France. Tricky to find, even with the help of some good men in St Andre de Vizines, the effort was exponentially rewarded. Of our 1800+ kilometer drive to visit alps, a bridge, a cave, and a city of lights, our stay in St. Andre keeps emerging as a true highlight."

"This old stone house is built up against a cliff in the Tarn River Gorge, a place of exceptional beauty. We stayed in early spring and enjoyed the fresh greenery, bird songs and the occasional fox sighting. It's very secluded yet convenient to town and exploring the area. The house has a well equipped kitchen, good lighting, a comfy sofa for evenings and a very good bed. The porch offers a fine view of the river and canyon and is great for eating out. "An amazing place to stay. Very peaceful, with beautiful grounds and, of course, the clear river and its many pools for bathing. The wooden terrace, where we ate all our evening meals, was like being in a giant treehouse. Our little grandson loved to watch all the trees. "Hier passt alles. Die Ferienwohnung hat alles, was man braucht. Ruhige Lage, schöner großer Pool. André ist ein wirklich sehr netter Gastgeber. Im Ort Aumessas gibt es einiges zu sehen und gute Pizza (zum Abholen). Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in den Cevennen. Zum Einkaufen muss man auch nicht weit fahren. "The gite is well equipped and is good sized for a couple. The two stand-outs for me were: The picture south-facing window, so had wonderful light and an incredible view that changed through the day: The downstairs bedroom which stayed cool even with 30c days. "Superbe découverte ! Ces chalets sont très sympas !!! L emplacement est idéal bon ils mériteraient un peu de rénovation mais nous avons passé d excellente vacances ! Tous les chalets étaient loués mais nous étions au calme ! La piscine est parfaitement bien exposee 31 degrés c est toujours agréable !l accueil, les filles adorables très disponibles !
