Nestled in the heart of Sirmione, this charming, family-run hotel offers more than just comfort—it offers character, soul, and an unforgettable human story. The real treasure here is Rosella, the 79-year-old hotel owner and fifth-generation hotelier. She’s a triathlete, martial artist, yoga enthusiast, and—believe it or not—recently biked across India. Rosella still works every day, making sure the hotel and adjacent restaurant are run with care, warmth, and an incredible sense of tradition. She embodies the spirit of hospitality and heritage. Rooms are cozy and full of character, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the location is perfect for exploring the lake, the Grotte di Catullo, and the charming old town. Breakfast was fresh and served with genuine warmth—just like everything else here. If you’re looking for a hotel with heart, history, and a host you’ll never forget, Filminia is the place. We left with full hearts and hope to return soon. "

"Excellent quality and value We have stayed here twice now the breakfast is fantastic, indoor pool and spa are lovely. Just wish the outside pool and sun loungers overlooking Lake Garda were open, the explanation I got was it was to early in the Season and they will open in May. For the British like myself the weather was ideal and at around 21/22 degrees the Outdoor spaces should have been open. Thanks a lovely stay otherwise 👍"
