"Basic accommodation. Needs a mirror in the room, a little more heating in the rooms during the winter months, terrace wasn't as beautiful as what it shows in the photo. Beds were so comfy and cosy!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"Good size bedroom,with separate kitchen area. Each accommodation had their own patio area. Lovely bathroom products . Staff always available, as reception open until 11pm. Free tennis courts. Pool is very small."

"What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

When we booked a deluxe room we thought it was a hotel but in actual fact it was a room in a shared apartment wihin a very private residential block. "The property was very well situated in the Old Town. It was very clean. We know Tavira well and we were just looking for somewhere to lay our heads, so it was ideal. Some of the furnishings are now in need of an upgrade and a full length mirror and some cupboard space would have been nice, however, it met our needs. . "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in an excellent location in a quiet area but also near the train station and the town. The hosts Cláudia and Luis have put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with freshly baked bread, homemade jam and good quality coffee. "About 15 min walk to marina, quiet location, very spacious & clean 3 bed apartment with kitchen & 2 bathrooms. Staff on reception were very welcoming, helpful & friendly. Beautiful gardens/surroundings. About 20 min walk to the old village which was also lovely for cafes, bars & restaurants. Bar abit pricey for drinks but plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance. "

Quality hotel

"Lovely large comfortable rooms with good technology, great Bluetooth speaker and large shower. Gym was simple but effective and indoor spa had small heated dip pool, sauna and steam room along with 4 types of shower! Outdoor rooftop waterfall pool was larger with plenty of chairs and areas to relax in the sunshine. "

Beautiful hotel

"Had a lovely stay as a couple at Dom Jose. The hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a standard room which was quite small but sufficient. Breakfast was very nice. The restaurant over looks the promenade and sea which is a lovely setting to enjoy breakfast in. There is a lovely terrace where you can sit and enjoy a drink and take in the lovely views or watch the sunset. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops and just a stones throw from the beach. I would definitely return to this hotel and would highly recommend it to friends. "

"Small room with space to open only one carry-on suitcase at a time but inexpensive and had everything we needed for a night before catching an early flight, including a comfortable bed and a very nice shower with good water pressure. Efficient staff. Short Uber ride to the Old Town and waterfront for a peaceful walk and a wonderful meal at Santa Maria Petiscaria. The hotel and restaurant turned a dreaded quick stopover in Faro to catch a morning flight into a great evening and a highlight of our trip."
