"We had a nice stay in Etna wine country. This property is in the midst of dramatic volcanic rock from the 1983 eruption. The junior suite was oddly designed, with the bed upstairs in a loft area separated from the bath by a very steep, narrow staircase. Inconvenient for elders or anyone who needs to use the restroom at night. "

"Il Sentiero was a wonderful surprise. It is a very serene and picturesque agriturismo with tons of olive and lemon trees. Owner/operator Salvo is a very hospitable and lovely person. We chose to eat there each evening, and he never failed to provide us with tasty meals. We highly recommend this place for visitors to the Catania area. It is located about 40 minutes north of the airport, close to an autostrada exit, and is convenient for visiting places such as Mt. Etna, Taormina, and Messina."

"It is a wonderful place, in the middle of a garden with olive trees, apple trees and chestnut trees. From our room we could see both the coast and the sea of Riposto and Giarre and from the other side the volcano. Breakfast was very tasty with locale goods, some directly made on spot. Se had the chance to have a dinner and I regret I was not able to try all the dishes of the menu. Staff is very helpful and discrete. An amazing stay! "

"Great staff and facilities the room was spacious and modern, the grounds are meticulously maintained the breakfast choices were broad whether it was a hot or cold breakfast and very thing in between and you could either eat outside next to the pool or inside. In conclusion I would rate it as probably the best place that we have stayed in to date."

"Our family of four loved staying here. Maurizio and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The home cooked traditional meals were delicious, our rooms were immaculate, the views were amazing and we really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The large, clean pool was fabulous after active days visiting the Etna region. We went out in the local town for dinner once and can really recommend it. Thank you!"

"A wonderful property in such a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards with views of Mount Etna and the village of Castiglione perched on a hillside. "We only booked this hotel for 1 night and wished we could have stayed longer. It is in a gorgeous vineyard and is a great place for families and couples- there is a beautiful pool but what stands out besides a great Room with luscious sheets and views looking at amy Etna is the hospitality of the staff. "We arrived at this hotel after some complications with googles directions (google maps does not know where this hotel is) and were greeted by the owner. He took us to our room and showed us around which is when we realized that he does not speak any English so communicating was challenging. "We spent a week in this apartment and found it an ideal base for local outings, including Taormina and Etna. Forza d'Agro is a bit like a hill-top Sicilian St Ives - all tiny alleys and steep streets and stairs, with excellent restaurants. The chocolate museum was pretty original too! The apartment is well-equipped and clean, with a lovely terrace giving the most amazing views along the coast and across the valley to the mountains."
