Escape to the beach at the Surf Dweller condominium located on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This family favorite condominium sits on the powder white sands of The Gulf of Mexico. This property is known for its large gulf front balconies with million-dollar views! Enjoy the private beach access, take a dip in the swimming pool, work out at the fitness center, play a game of tennis on the lighted tennis court, or grill some fresh seafood in the grilling area. Visit nearby restaurants such as Stewby’s, Fubar Pizza, or Aj’s Seafood and Oyster Bar. Visit local attractions such as The Gulfarium, The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier, or The Boardwalk. If you want to venture out take the short drive to Destin, FL (The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village). Take a pontoon boat to Crab Island for the day or book a fishing charter. No matter how you spend your time at the Surf Dweller you will make memories to last a lifetime!

This 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo includes: A fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, a breakfast bar, and a separate dining area. A laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. A living room with a queen size sleeper sofa for extra guests, a flat screen TV, floor-to-ceiling sliders with gulf views, and a large private balcony. A master bedroom with a king size memory foam mattress, a flat screen TV, private bathroom, and glass sliders that allow balcony access. A second bedroom with two queen size beds and a flat screen TV. A second full size bathroom in the hallway.

We go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable: Plenty of pillows on each bed along with extra sheets and blankets if needed. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher soap, dish liquid, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. All-purpose cleaner.

We have a pontoon boat that is rented exclusively to our guests. The boat needs to be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. The boat launches out of The Fort Walton Beach Yacht Basin.

Overall great stay
Overall, I would say that everything was as expected. The toilets did not flush great, and we did have one of the toilets handle, break off, but maintenance came and fix that quickly. The condo overall could use some updating., but was a great place for my family.

A couple things were needing some attention. The kitchen sink faucet was hard to turn off. Had to hit it just right. The vent in second bathroom leaked water onto toilet. It was a heavy drip! Other that that place was very nice and clean!

It was very nice except for a couple little things. The bathroom fan in the front bathroom had water leaking out of it. The television in the living room had a parental lock code so we could not watch certain shows. The mirrors were at a super low height. Could not see my face unless i bent down. Other than these few minor things the condo was great. We had a very relaxing vacation.

The view, the location, the unit..all of it was great! Short walk to the beach. Right off the elevators. Plenty of space for our family of 3. The only thing we didnt like was the master bed was soooo hard. But other than that it was perfect!

View wonderful, plumbing worked well, but Master Bath needs updating and painting bad, with Super low counter. Construction on building kept us from using walkway and beach access bathroom. Location is between two hotel chains. Building also has has residents, so was mostly quiet during our stay. Very clean, had all we needed. Might look for another unit with more update furnishings. Management was good and attentive.

Spring break/funeral
It would have been an amazing location the room was great, but only 1 of the 4 elevators were running. Instead of being able to go down the elevator (that was right outside the door) and walking through the breezeway to get to the beach you had to go to the end of the building to the elevator. After you had to walk around the end of the building on sheets of plywood which then changed to stepping stones back to the breezeway to go across to the beach. I’m not sure the owner of the property was made aware but we were not. On one evening the 1 working elevator broke so we had to take the stairs. Part of why I booked this room was I had my mother with me and we were close enough to everything she wouldn’t have had to walk to much to enjoy the beach and ocean. I did communicate with the host company about the elevator and again I do not think they knew any of the “repairs” to the property were going on. Overall the room and view were great just the property and building were lacking that’s why I left the cleanliness as a 3 because it says “property”. They should know better than to try to do that stuff during spring break weeks.

Great condo
This was a great condo. Everything was well stocked and clean. The only thing missing was the information that the unit was directly in front of the elevators. Makes for a very loud stay, especially in the secondary bedroom which has a window across from the two elevators. Otherwise it’s a great location and perfect beach access.

Dirty, Cockroaches, broken AC unit
We were at the surf dweller room 506. When we arrived it was late but the property seemed dirty. The kitchen sink wasn’t clean and the coffee pot had coffee in it. We were exhausted from driving all day so we went to bed regardless. The next morning we woke up to the sound of water dripping. We opened the AC room and there was a bucket being used to catch dripping from the AC unit. The bucket was overflowing and there was water everywhere. We dumped the bucket and cleaned up the mess as we waited for Kimberly Langs office to open at 10 am. We began wiping down the kitchen in the meantime. We moved the coffee pot to clean it and a cockroach came running out. When we got ahold of Kimberly Lang, they said they would have an AC tech come over to fix the air conditioning and that they could spray for bugs, just we couldn’t be there. They wanted to spray for bugs while all our stuff was in the apartment, which is ridiculous. Since we had only saw one, we asked them just to fix the AC. The AC tech came while we were at the beach and we got a call that it was fixed. By the time we got back from the beach, the bucket was almost full again. We dumped it again. This is when we realized it needed to be dumped every 4-5 hours or it would overflow. At this point, their office was closed. The next morning we got up to several cockroaches and water everywhere. We began packing our things waiting for their office to open. They ended up switching us to a different condo that was extremely small and not comparable to the one we were originally at. Looking online, the price for that condo was also cheaper than the one we rented. I asked Kimberly Lang for the cost difference back, and they refused. We ended up throwing away tons of food that we had bought because of the bugs, I was sick while in that condo because of mold from the AC unit, we lost the majority of the day moving condos, we went from 1 king bed and 2 queen beds to a king, a queen, and twin bunk beds that couldn’t be slept on because they were about to fall apart and we were further away from friends that were in a different condo. Every night, we had to take a mattress off of the bunk beds which lead to no walking room. I would NEVER stay at a Kimberly Lang property again or recommend it to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, they don’t care about the health and well-being of their tentants, and they kept money that should have come back to us. Beware!!!

Our condo was very nice. Great view of the gulf. The property managers were in constant contact via text to make sure we got checked in, everything was satisfactory, etc. The beach attendants were very courteous and polite. The grandkids enjoyed the pool too.
